A chilly start to the day but a stunning day followed so I’m not complaining! A good day to finally get all the roses pruned. 😊

Supporting a charity close to my heart this week by using beautiful daffodils in my bunches, grown by our local Cancer Society volunteer growers, such cheery flowers and such a great cause. 😊

There's no getting away from it - yellow is the colour of the season, from early daffodils to wattle, it's everywhere! Grab a bunch of sunshine today 😊

3 good things about winter: the sweet scent of daphne, early jonquils and beautiful hellebores! Pop down to Adamsons and grab a fresh fragrant posy ($15 & $25 bunches available now) 😊

The last of the last late summer/autumns have been cleared and turned into compost, but lots of signs everywhere that spring is on the way :)

Mixing it up a bit this week with a few dried bunches alongside the fresh ones. The ones harvested from my cutting garden in the summer are all gone but I have been lucky to source more from local flower farmers Popin Flower Farm and The Pickery Thanks so much ladies, it's great to have such beautiful product to work with 😊

At this time of year when flowers are scarce it is the time for foliage to shine and our beautiful Aotearoa foliage is looking particularly fresh and crisp at the moment - loving it!

Winters almost here and that means pretty proteas and leucodendron time! Proteas are named after the Greek god Proteus who was known for his ability to change form at will. This name reflects the many different forms of the protea species, one of my many favourite flowers 😊

Well that's a wrap for Mother's Day 2024! I hope all the Mums had a great day. Busy weekend filling flower stands and working in the garden, planting the last of the spring bulbs and making compost. Nigel the goat was a big help as usual! 😆

No waste here at Foraged Flora! Lily the donkey is always happy to deal with any left over flowers or foliage at the end of the week! Flowers turned into donkey doo turned into compost for the garden - the perfect recycling system 😊
