Hi Wellington, What a beautiful autumn Saturday it’s been. Happy Saturday to you all. Its looking like Sunday will be nice too. Sun rises to greet us at 7.04am then we have light winds and a fine day rising to 19 degrees.. It’s going to be amazing and busy on the waterfront no doubt! We have a full attendance of our produce trucks so plenty to go around. Remember to form queues in front of each till to help reduce the mile long lines we tend to get. They open early so if your down by sunrise you’ll have the place to yourselves almost. They all have their own-coloured baskets to use at each of their stalls. You need to pay at each stall and leave baskets there before moving to the next please. As usual Harbourside Market is going to be awesome.! Community: - We have 2 performers in seated area. Chris Moses and friends followed by Louis Sutherland. - Bubblebusters Dive Club do their great mahi . Find them on the beach around 1pm for a look. - Keryn, Shoba and Jack are back with the amazing Pass it On Cookbook. There’s a great story behind it and its full of delicious recipes. - Our community piano will be out so have a go if you wish. - St James Sea Scouts have a travelling photo booth caravan up the north end. - SPCA bring the cuteness. - Newlands Scouts are managing the car park this week. Raising funds for their Jamboree. Remember its only $2 per hour. $4 for 2 hours etc. It’s a fundraiser so donate more if you can. Foodies: - Community Fruit Wellington are beside the market office with all the wonderful products they make from saved fruit around the region. - Jaspreet is here with Candy Nuts. - Origin Curbside Café supply the coffee along with Espresso Rescue and Kosmos. - Cold Press Juices from Havana Brothers plus Charlie from Afro Delight Kombucha and chilli sauces. - Foxy Dawg are back again. Happy Friday Welly, Xmas is fast approaching and there is certainly a buzz in the air. Whether you’re trying to tidy up work in the last of your office days, preparing for a road trip or catching up with friends before the year ends, there’s a lot going on. We at Harbourside Market wanted to thank you all for your support throughout 2022. We think it’s a great place and are really proud of how we create a mini multicultural city every Sunday. It’s a super important part of Wellingtons buzz and offers much more than just a place to buy your veges. Catching up with friends, entertainment, fundraising, community group initiatives, student projects, pop ups, start ups, travel shows, food tours, local govt campaigning. It’s always the place to be on Sundays. This Sunday will be the last market for the year. We will be closed on Sunday 25th December 2022 & Sunday 1st January 2023. We will reopen on Sunday 8th January 2023. Harbourside Market is going to be awesome as usual this Sunday!! The sun will rise at 5.40 am then expect the odd shower easing in the morning with fine breaks. Southerlies with a high of 19. Get in early to stock the fridge and pantry in preparation for the week. They are attempting to break the world record. Fill your bags with fresh produce and treat yourselves to all your favourite food trucks. A couple of our family are away but most of your regular favourites will be here.
