A very popular service currently is for me to make scrunchies out of the wedding dress hem scraps after shortening the dress. It makes a nice gift for bridesmaids and is a cute momento that can be worn on anniversaries or passed down to be worn by their kiddies for a 1st birthday party.

Love this dress 💗 It was such a pleasure to work with this bride and her wife to be. It was so unfortunate to hear that another dressmaker she approached prior to myself did not approve of same s*x marriages. It was an absolute PLEASURE to turn around their experience to being a positive and memorable for the right reasons.

Timeframes very dependant on the brides personal journey. I have a range of brides currently who are currently experiencing body shape changes and I adapt my timeline and plans to most appropriately suit the circumstance. I have pregnancies, bodybuilders competing not long before wedding dates, gastric bipass brides, brides having shape changes for medical reasons and much more. I even had a bride just today whos dress was tailored in a way to work for her scoliosis. Sometimes a final fitting had to be done super last minute for this reason and it is a priority at Zowie Dee to ensure the perfect fit for the day so we accomodate in any way we can 💖

This bride loved her wedding dress but felt it was more culturally appropriate for the sheer panel in the back bodice to be filled in, so I sourced a stunning sequinned lace and made this detailed back bodice panel. So stunning 🫶

Another custom made Zowie Dee outfit- lined top/blouse and lined shorts for a ‘not very girlie’ customer who was attending her brothers wedding. She was originally going to wear a blazer over the top too but loved this 2-piece so much she decided to go in just that ☺️🫶

Not every bride wants a train! This bride bought a dress with a huge, heavy, long train which didn’t feel ‘her’ and was also not really appropriate for the type of wedding she was having, so I removed it. ☺️💖

I feel incredibly proud and to have been asked by a private breast cancer hospital to design and make a large run of tops and skirts to replace their current ill fitting gowns that give the patients very little coverage during procedure’s.

My brief was bright, fun happy prints in a top with openable shoulders for breast treatments and large openings in certain areas for machine to be placed.

After choosing a range of fabric options I let the patients choose the final fabrics. We also let the patients wear the samples for a few weeks and took their feedback onboard. Im all set to do the bulk run now.

It is an absolute honour to have the opportunity to brighten the day of these cancer patients while going through such a difficult time. I hope the care and thought that has gone into the gowns will at least make them feel comfortable and less vulnerable.

When a bride wants a vintage family garter sewn into the skirt lining of their dress 💖🥰🫶

This stunning bride is wearing a strapless dress but wanted a cropped organza jacket to go over it.

I used a crystal organza and did a gathered crossover front neckline, a wide gathered waist panel on the hem, a large puff sleeve with a cuff and covered button finish - which has a thick n**e stretch fabric under the organza in the sleeves so you cant see her dark large tattoo (which is very awesome but not grandma appropriate 😉) The centre back is the opening and each side has loops that loop over the existing buttons on the strapless wedding dress.

Stunning custom made silk blazer with welt pockets, a shawl collar and a blush toned satin lining. The main outer fabric was originally a pre-loved silk kimono which we repurposed the fabric of (unpicking to pieces re pressing and using cut pieces to make new pieces).

As an added technical twist, this regular clients (who I always love a fun winter project with☺️) was originally planning to make this herself but accidentally cut out the pattern and fabric in the wrong size (too small!) so she came to me to try save it! I took the cut pattern pieces, graded them up to her size, re patch worked the fabric back together, recut all pieces into the bigger size and then made.✨ 🤩🌈

Standard clothing alterations currently now full! After finishing the alterations to standard wardrobe clothes already here, I wont be accepting more again until around May onwards as I will be focusing fully on bridal season and custom made. On peak event wear is back and almost fully booked. I have a few spots left for December and Jan events but other than that, currently full till April. I will keep working my t**h off to try free up some more spots for those brides on the waitlist 🥰💖

Heres a very detailed pair of jeans I have taken in 2.5 sizes. Youd never know. All detailing has been replicated like the original.

Save your wardrobe renos again for next off peak season when I have space again (May to September)

Heres 3 Brownies getting their badges sewn onto their camp blankets and their Mum also getting some more sewn on her camp blanket from when she was little, for a bunch on achievements she got whilst on camp with her girls ☺️💖

I also made fabric name patches with the Brownies logo on the computer and heat transferred them onto fabric so the girls could easily tell the blankets apart.

What cool badges to have as a keepsake to remember all the memories made, achievements unlocked and milestones worked on. I normally help this family with their badges every winter whilst Im a bit quieter. Looking forward to seeing what badges will be added next year 🌈

I had a fabulous splash of colour fly through the workroom over the last few week due to having the pleasure to work on some The Little Mermaid skirts, a Cinderella dress and 2 Frozen dresses for a character event hire company.
