Haven't posted any pics for a while, but here is today's job. Mid century armchair (before, during, and after). Recovered in a NZ h**p fabric (urban hills).

Nice little bedroom chair, just recovered in a Ralph Lauren floral fabric

Last week's op-shop purchase which became the "lunchtime" project for this week!! A nice 1920's Oak Morris chair ( recliner) that only needed a light sand down followed by a few coats of French polish and reupholstery. The style is the forerunner to the modern lazyboy!

A random collection of 1950'S chrome leg stools just finished and heading off to the South Coast Collective store in Aro Street
- just in time for Christmas presents!!

A nice mid century chair in Oak. This chair was one of the first mid century pieces I purchased over 2 decades ago but for various reasons always sat at the back of the pile! He finally had his time to shine last year and had a short stint in the Pop Up shop where he was"adopted" by a caring family!!

Always a satisfying transformation on these little buttoned back chairs. This one was recovered in an amethyst velvet.

A nice pair of mid century stools completed last week in Orla Kiely fabric with borders in green wool. The mahogany legs were stripped, sanded, and given multiple coats of Danish Oil.
Sent down to the Pop-Up shop ( Flock) in Lambton Quay. If you are quick, they might still be for sale!!

A very pretty little Victorian ladies chair that proved to be quite problematic due to some poor previous frame repairs, and a lot of borer!
The Orla Kiely acorn fabric certainly looked good on the finished job.

It's been ages since I've posted any pics, but here are a random selection of jobs from last year. First is a mid century rocker that started as just a pair of arms purchased on trademe.
With help from my cabinet maker son, we managed to construct a chair which we think was fairly close to what the original might have looked like.
