Lip tattooing is always an interesting topic—the more you do, the more you learn! I’ve kept color theory for dark lips simple since I first started teaching lip tattooing 5-6 years ago.

🎨 The 5 must-have colors I always have in stock for dark lips are lemon yellow, orange, white, red, and pink.

Depending on the lip skin, I choose different mixes based on a few key rules. I can now predict which lips will heal better than others and which type of pigment (organic, inorganic, or hybrid) is best suited for different types of dark lips.

🙋‍♀️ Many of you have been asking if the Blush Conference will happen again next year! 🤔

💁‍♀️ The answer is NO! I won’t be holding the conference next year, but possibly the year after. I’ll only host the Blush Conference again if there are new techniques and trends in the PMU industry that I believe New Zealand PMU artists need to catch up on to stay aligned with global trends.

My goal in organizing the conference is to bring us the knowledge and skills we truly need to excel in our work, learning the latest techniques from the best trainers around the world. With my experience, I now only need six months to prepare 😊, so I’ll be sure to let you all know when the next conference will be!

It’s been amazing to see the beautiful work shared on Instagram by artists who attended our last conference, and witnessing their growth and improvement really encourages me to consider organizing the event again in the future 🤩.

😇🤩Over the moon with pride for my son! 🥹 It was his first time participating in , and even though he doubted his ability to compete, I reminded him that just by stepping up, he’s already won. 🙌 The regional round is complete, and now he’s off to the next round in Auckland—maybe even the Global round! 🤞 I told him to trust in the Law of Attraction and keep giving his best. 🫶

🌹Being a trainer and teacher is my destiny and my mission in life. Since high school, my mother always suggested I should go to a teaching college to become a teacher, as she believed it was a great job. However, I knew that I wasn’t very patient with children and feared I might hurt them, so I avoided that path.😅👩‍🏫

👩‍💻Instead, I chose to study economics, completed my bachelor's degree with top grades, and had the opportunity to become a lecturer at a university. But again, I declined🙅‍♀️.

✈️ I then moved to New Zealand and earned my master's degree in marketing and international business alongside some friends (two of them are now associate professors at Universities in New Zealand and Australia). During this time, I did some tutoring and found that students tended to procrastinate until the last minute, which made me hesitant to pursue teaching further!😂

After my postgraduate studies, I worked in banking for five years before making a spontaneous decision to start a beauty business, tired of the 9-to-5 routine. Running my business for 15 years, I made numerous mistakes and spent a lot of money on unwise decisions, but also made significant investments. Though my growth was slow and often stressful, I realized how much better it could have been if someone had guided me from the beginning.🥹

🤦‍♀️This realization inspired me to help others starting their own businesses avoid the mistakes I made. I wanted to share my tips and experiences in business and life skills. This passion led me to become a trainer, a role I now enjoy immensely. I love speaking from my own experiences and using real case studies to illustrate my points.

👩‍🏫 I don’t teach based on trends or the need to seize opportunities quickly. I only teach what I have thoroughly learned, experienced, and found positive results in. If I lack experience in something, I won’t share it. My focus is on helping my students troubleshoot problems throughout their careers and growing with them.

I am glad that I am now having my dream job, living my dream life at age 43 (at my own standard of course 😊). I particularly enjoy teaching beginners because I see myself in them when I first started and wish I had someone to guide me back then. 🤔 Why Hairstrokes we use darker shade while using our Blush pigment as we can create dark fine strokes without going over many times, we also want to have strokes a little standout compared to the foundation while doing combination brows.
Ombré or powder brows always look more intensed than Hairstrokes! so in order to create natural look the artist needs to use lighter shade and work airy and thin layers to make natural brows as nano Hairstrokes when they healed👌
