Being able to do this is why I love Typography.. ​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​Typography is vital for your brand! It assists in attracting your target audience, setting the tone and values of your brand and so much more! BUT there is so much more you can do with type.

This brandmark was created only using type elements from the brand's chosen font and I personally LOVE it!

What are your thoughts?

Why I work with product based businesses 👇​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​For as long as I can remember I have always run my own small businesses. What started as hobbies, always turned into a small Biz. I started making and selling handmade cards at a very young, forcing my Gran & Nona to sign up to a paid monthly membership.

👉 Started Just Dandy at the age of 18 and supplied a range of products and art in gift stores across Africa (excuse the bad quality photos 😂)

👉 Started Ebb & Ive as a stationery brand and sold custom stationery, notepads and gifts on Etsy as a side hustle at Uni

👉 Started Harper Rose Handmade with Sold out launches, international sales, attended many markets & supplied to several stores across NZ

👉 Started Harper Rose Collective that supplied jewellery based signage/ market props to small businesses.

While my main passion is Graphic Design and I specialise in Branding, I have always had a love for creating a product and selling it and throughout the years, I have learnt a TONNE on the struggles product based businesses face because I have been YOU!

Branding with me is much more than creating a brand strategy and identity.. I dive deep into your business and help in all aspects of your business. The sole reason for doing what I do, is because I have always wanted to help people and this is the way I help small businesses.

How important do you think Stationery is for your brand? ​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​Do you want to create a customer experience that will leave a lasting impression and want them to come back? You can achieve this through stationery design. As humans we LOVE opening gifts and stationery can give your customer that feeling. It also creates a cohesive look for your brand that helps with brand recognition!

I am a sucker for this... ​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​I LOVE minimalism.. I am not always perfect at getting it right but I am constantly learning. Creating a brand that says so much with very little is a lot harder than it looks and I am always up for the challenge.

Welcome to Ebb & Ive Design Co! I'm Kierrin! ​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​A place where dreams, passion and creativity brew.

A business that is built on the African philosophy of Ubuntu – “I am because you are”. A concept in which your sense of self is ultimately shaped by your relationships with other people. For as long as I can remember I have always felt deeply connected to helping people and an even deeper passion for creativity. I am so blessed and grateful to be able to merge my two passions into one. I don’t just do design. I don’t just make things pretty. I dive deeper into who you are as a person, what inspires you, your goals, your ambitions and your passion. I am only as inspired as the client in front of me, my passion is because of your passion. My success is because of your success and it is this foundation that helps me take your dream and cultivate it into a reality that surpasses your expectations. Taking your passion and turning it into a business. Your passion is yours alone and the world needs it!

I’m Kierrin - the owner, designer, Go-getter, dreamer and the main Gal behind Ebb & Ive Design Co. A Gal with so many dreams that sometimes I wonder if I’m awake at all! My life is filled with creativity and passion and it exudes in everything I do.

I thought I’d share 10 quick facts about me:

- I have my Honours Degree in Information Design, specializing in Branding.

- I have been running businesses since I was 8 years old selling handmade cards to my Gran and Nona

- I was born and raised in South Africa and now reside in the beautiful New Zealand.

- My all-time favourite Movie/ Musical is West Side Story (Best believe that there is singing happening all day in the studio)

- I use way too many exclamation marks!!!! (Must be the Greek/ Italian in me!)

- Lover of all creatures! Especially my helper Pippi – the studio Kitty

- Lover of puns and what can be classified as “Dad” jokes ( )

- Notorious for getting well-known sayings wrong – not the sharpest crayon in the box sometimes!

- Stationery obsessed! Need I say more?

- Avid Crime Ju**ie poddy listener! Loves all things crime!
