Did you know you can get the whooping cough vaccination for FREE any time from 16 weeks of pregnancy?
Immunisation provides the best protection for you and your pēpi. When you have the whooping cough vaccine in pregnancy, it passes on some immunity to your baby and protects 9 out of 10 young babies from developing severe whooping cough.
To build their own immunity, whooping cough vaccination is recommended for babies as part of their FREE immunisations at 6 weeks, 3 months, and 5 months. Tamariki also get a booster at 4 years and again from 11 years old.
You can book a vaccine online Book a vaccine (info.health.nz) or by calling the Vaccination Helpline on 0800 28 29 26. Local immunisation services can be found on https://healthpoint.co.nz/

Kia ora everyone! We are looking for someone to support our Comms and Fundraising activities. We need someone who can:
• write grant applications to our philanthropic funders
• do some storytelling, a little design work and put together digital posts
We’re working on developing a role description because we’re not sure if there is someone out there who has all those skills! OR do we need to create two separate roles??!
However, in the meantime, we thought we’d reach out to our own community of parents in case this sounds like any of you!
We do know we will need someone who is very organised (those grant applications have rigid deadlines!), maybe has a little marketing experience, and is committed to the Parents Centre kaupapa.
This job could potentially be based anywhere in New Zealand, with the flexibility to work from home.
Please email [email protected] if you would like to send in an expression of interest.
