The deets: BYO is just for wine (sorry beer lovers), and corkage is $12 per 750ml bottle. Booking is recommended, but we often have space to accommodate walk-ins too! You can enjoy your BYO wine in any part of Bam - lounge, patio, or dining, but anyone doing BYO has to be visiting us to eat as well, and a min spend of $35pp on food is required.
So off you go to collect your fave wine, and we'll be seeing you tomorrow night ๐

Do you know what's really challenging to photograph? Our asparagus Caesar ๐ and while the photo doesn't really do it justice, these crunchy little morsels are a cheesy flavour bomb ๐ฅ

"...but what does BambuchiSan mean?" - if you're new here, meet Smuchi, the namesake of Bam.
This big sweetheart, Smuchi Bambuchi, husky x lab, came with Lindsay from Canada over 13 years ago! He was a true gentleman, well known in the Hataitai Village, and no other dog is more deserving of a cool lil spot to be named after them โค๏ธ
Smuchi left us ๐ at the start of 2020, but his legacy lives on in BambuchiSan. Our logo is based off this handsome pic of him, designed by the cool folks at and adorning our swish new team t-shirts. He's also a big reason why we are so dog friendly โค๏ธ๐ Smuchi - you legend!

Summer is just around the corner ๐ and to celebrate the start of those long lazy evenings, from today we'll be staying open every night til 10pm. Late night bite? One more for the road? We'll be here, guaranteed ๐

We've had an AMAZING few months with her on our team โฅ๏ธ we've learned a lot from her, and it's been sooooo much fun bringing it all together in that tiny kitchen!
Her last night on the tools will be this Thurs 29th - we're running a funky blackboard menu this week, so keep an eye on our stories to see what's happening!

BambuchiSan offers a warm and welcoming atmosphere that feels like it's been around for ages. Step into the suburban oasis and sit at the bar and enjoy our beautiful selection of wine or craft beer. Our Head Chef Jonny Taggart has created some flavoursome dishes from Japanese culture. These are infused with his Canadian style and twist.
Our focus is to bring friends and family together for a shared dining experience using seasonal produce and the freshest ingredients. Enjoy a craft beer, interesting wine or beautiful cocktail in our Balinese & Japanese inspired dining room.
