We're providing the Kapiti Coast community with a wonderful 4-court padder tennis facility located at Εtaki Beach. If you want to see this site developed into a more permanent site, please sign our petition
One of the many schools we worked with this year was at Windley School in Porirua - here are some Year 4 students on Day 1 of 4, having fun learning the grips and how to rally with their mates. The lesson plan was to see if the kids could start a rally using their backhand serve also! By week 4, the kids are organising their own tournament!

With the support of local businesses in Εtaki - Small Town Big Heart, the Εtaki Community Board and Kapiti Coast District Council, we invite you and your whanau, friends of ALL ages and abilities, to experience the fun of padder tennis at our first public venue outside of the school playgrounds.
On what used to be the Εtaki Beach Skating Rink and events hub back in the day, and having sat idle for decades, this amphitheater-like and absolutely majestic setting is gradually transforming itself into a four padder tennis court facility, available to we the people.
With free equipment hire on all event dates, access to toilets, bbq facilities, the beach and kai for the first 50 players each day, could make Εtaki a weekend destination for you this summer! π βοΈ ππΎ
Thanks for all the support since we began our journey in 2019. We have run programmes in over 50 schools and will continue our regional schools programme.
Now that we have our new courts, we will explore the opportunity to develop a local business house padder tennis league next year.
