🌿 Re-balance with Kinesiology & Achieve Your Fitness Goals 🌿

Are you a sports enthusiast, gym-goer, or martial artist striving to reach peak performance? Whether you're into CrossFit, running, or any other physical activity, imagine transforming your training and recovery with a holistic approach that addresses physical, emotional, and mental imbalances. At Tuia Health, we offer Kinesiology, a powerful and gentle method to help you achieve your fitness goals.

✨ What is Kinesiology?

Kinesiology is a holistic health practice that combines principles from traditional Chinese medicine. It uses gentle muscle testing to evaluate how your body is functioning and identify any imbalances. These can include mineral deficiencies, food sensitivities, emotional stresses, and physical impairments.

💡 How Does Kinesiology Work?

Through the muscle-meridian relationship, Kinesiology can reveal what your body needs to reach its full potential. By tailoring a blend of nutrition, exercise, and Kinesiology, we can help you change habits and enhance your performance. Our Kinesiologists can identify imbalances, prioritise them, and determine the most effective treatment. Often, issues can be addressed directly within your session.

🔍 What Can Kinesiology Help With?

Kinesiology can detect imbalances in four key areas:

Chemical Nutrition: Hormones, pH balance, gut health, and nutritional needs
Structural: Bones, muscles, and tissues
Emotional: Fears, phobias, trauma, stress, and anxiety
Electrical Hydration: Energy levels and energetic fields

🌿 The Kinesiology Session:
You remain fully clothed as the Kinesiologist places your arms, legs, or head into specific positions and applies gentle pressure. This muscle testing provides feedback about your body’s condition and helps assess the order of treatment. A treatment plan may include nutritional supplements, emotional stress release techniques, acupressure, structural realignment, reflex massage, lifestyle changes, and more.

🌟 The Benefits of Kinesiology for Sports People:

Kinesiology can increase energy and vitality, improve posture, relieve physical pain and tension, manage emotions and stress, enhance brain function and coordination, and identify nutritional needs and food sensitivities. Our clients have reported amazing results, including enhanced performance, quicker recovery times, and improved overall well-being.

📜 History of Kinesiology:

The term Kinesiology comes from the Greek word kinesis, meaning motion. Applied Kinesiology was developed by Dr George Goodheart, an American chiropractor, in 1965. He discovered that muscle testing could reveal vital information about the body’s condition, which was sometimes impossible to determine by other methods.

💪 Kinesiology Modalities We Use:

I am trained through the International College of Professional Kinesiology Practitioners.

I use a range of tools to balance energy, including acu-pressure points, nutritional testing, essential oils, flower essences and guides and metaphysical resources.

ICPKP combines western discoveries and ancient Chinese medicine, using muscle testing as biofeedback to identify and rebalance the body's energy system.

Hi, I'm Rachel. I grew up in Edgecumbe, New Zealand, and have also lived in the UK, Australia and Christchurch. I returned to Bay of Plenty to be near family when pregnant with my daughter. I trained as a radiation therapist and work also in health planning and project management but am passionate about supporting others in balancing their own health and wellbeing on an individual level.

I believe that how we look after ourselves and previous trauma have a huge impact on our lives—our moods, energy levels and overall wellbeing. That's why I love kinesiology: it helps identify what the body needs to function at its best so we can start making changes from the inside out and on an energetic level.

New Year - New Way to Support a New You?

Kinesiology is a non invasive therapy that supports wellbeing and gets right to the root of issues as opposed to treating the symptoms.

Kinesiologists work with individuals to improve physical performance, promote good health, relieve stress or anxiety, increase flexibility, assist with weight loss, decrease pain or discomfort, or improve balance and coordination.

Kinesiology is a holistic approach to health that looks at the body's ability to function as a whole. Kinesiologists work with people of all ages (including infants) and perform activities such as motion analysis and exercise prescription to help their patients achieve optimal levels of fitness. This holistic approach gives kinesiologists an understanding of how the mind affects the body's ability to perform physically—and vice versa—while recognizing that there are many factors involved in determining whether an individual can achieve optimal fitness levels without injury or risk for illness.

Kinesiology can be used for its calming effect as well; learning how your body works in concert with your mind can help you relax when stressed out or anxious about something happening in life.

Kinesiology is a great tool for helping individuals of all ages and backgrounds. If you are suffering from an injury or illness, then this treatment may be just what you need to get back on your feet again.

Kinesiology 101

Introduction

Kinesiology is a holistic approach to the body, mind and spirit. It's a type of bioenergetic therapy that can be incredibly effective when used with specific goals in mind. The word kinesiology is defined by Webster's Dictionary as "the study of human or animal movement." Kinesiologists are trained in many ways, but mostly use muscle testing (applied kinesiology) to help determine where imbalances may exist within your body and how best to address them.

What is kinesiology?

Kinesiology is a holistic approach to health that looks at the body as an interconnected system. Using kinesiology, you can strengthen and balance your energy flow to improve your mental, physical, emotional and spiritual well-being. Kinesiologists specialize in helping people heal by identifying how their unique energy systems may be holding them back from their full potential.

Kinesiology is about listening to the wisdom of the body: It understands that the body has its own intelligence, which can help it repair itself from injury or illness if we provide support for it by using natural movement patterns (like yoga) or traditional exercise techniques (such as weightlifting). In this way, kinesiology is a great complement to other forms of healing such as acupuncture or massage therapy since these modalities usually focus on treating specific symptoms rather than addressing underlying causes—which often lie within our personal habits or lifestyle choices like dieting practices that may have adverse effects on our overall health long term.

What does a kinesiologist do?

A kinesiologist is a health professional who uses manual muscle testing to identify imbalances and associated methods to get energy moving again. Kinesiology is a holistic approach that works with the body, mind and spirit. This system of movement education has been used in many different fields, including sports medicine, physical rehabilitation and workplace health.

The goal of kinesiology is to help people achieve balance in all areas of their lives by identifying blocks that may be creating tension or imbalance within their bodies—both physically and emotionally. With this knowledge, you can make changes toward improved health that can lead to feeling better overall!

How does the session work?

Kinesiology is a holistic approach to health and wellness, meaning that it considers the person as a whole (body, mind and spirit).

A kinesiology session is about listening to your body. It’s about empowering yourself to make positive change in your life.

During this session we will develop a goal for you to work on during our time together. Once we have worked out what your goal is together, I will then spend time helping you identify specific issues around achieving this goal. For example: I may want to lose weight but find it difficult because I stress eat when I am feeling anxious or stressed at work or home etc… During this stage of the session we will explore emotions around these issues and balance them so that they no longer impact negatively on our ability to achieve our goals!

Kinesiology for workplace wellness

Kinesiology is a holistic approach to wellness. It's about empowering yourself to make positive change, whether it be in your physical health or your mental well-being.

Kinesiology is a great way to get started on your wellness journey! If you're looking for some strategies that will help you feel better and live healthier, kinesiology may be the right fit for you.

Kinesiology for Sport

Kinesiology can help you improve your performance.

Kinesiology can help you prevent injury.

Kinesiology can help you manage stress.

Kinesiology is about empowering yourself to make positive change.

Kinesiology is a holistic approach to wellness that works by finding the root cause of your ailments, rather than just treating the symptoms. It involves muscle testing, which can reveal stressors in your life and help you understand how they affect you physically and mentally.

Kinesiology can be used as an assessment tool to get started on a path to positive change; it can also be used alongside other health practices such as acupuncture or massage therapy. The idea behind kinesiology is simple: when we experience stress, our bodies react with tension in our muscles—and if we hold onto that tension for too long without releasing it or addressing its cause, those reactions become chronic inflammation and pain.

Conclusion

As you can see, kinesiology is a very broad and powerful tool. The most important thing to remember is that it’s not just about the muscles and bones; it’s about how your mind and body interact with each other and how they affect each other. By taking control of these interactions, you can empower yourself to make positive changes in your life.
