We've had people calling on odd occasions through the week and weekend asking if we are open.
So just to confirm we are open every day (except Monday) 8am - 3.30pm (kitchen shuts 2.30pm).

We had the privilege of putting together a high tea for 2 lovely ladies, 1 celebrating a special birthday 😀
So nice to make people's day happier 😀😀

Unfortunately we have had our first break in 😌in 10 years, luckily we have only had a semi small amount of money taken from the till and no other apparent damage, video camera footage has shown the "low life" to eventually find a way into the cafe after a bit of effort and then re-enter a second time at 4.30am, makes us feel a bit yuk!!! But so pleased it's not worse!!!! Keep vigilant # # #

We had the privilege yesterday in putting on a "high tea" style lunch for the Botany Babes to celebrate their birthday.
What a awesome bunch of ladies!!!
The gorgeous flowers are thanks to Arylies Gardens in Potts Rd, Whitford.

As you all know this NEVER happens down here but today we have mulitple scones still here, everyday we sell out mid morn so today i did tray after tray all morn but its been a slightly quieter than usual day today, so if you want we have 😊😊 these freeze beautifully as alot of customers do this but we only make fresh each day ❤

Nothing like enjoying the school holidays the good old fashioned way by coming to get some milkshakes by boat 😀😀😀

After the scone recommendation post earlier in the week it seems we have turned Whitford into the "scone capital " 😂🤣😂
Just to confirm, scones are made fresh every day after opening, so therefore not available until approx 9.30am - 10am.
If you really want scones, to avoid disappointment, please ring us to order them and then we can hold them for you.
So glad you're loving our homemade food as we enjoy making it and seeing you all.

We are ready to roll tommorow ❤ a mammoth baking and cooking session today so we are topped up again, scones will be out nice and early tommorow i know how many people are waiting from the phone calls i took today and the messages i have had, it warms my heart so much, so i will be down extra early to make up for today 😉i was back in my happy place today, corn and bacon chowder, pumpkin soup and seafood chowder are our soups this week with bacon hock vege soup back by friday. Creamy smoked chicken pesto pasta (gluten free) and salmon and asparagus quiches (gluten free) and ham off the bone pides back on the cabinet tommorow morning amongst everything else 😘

Hello our limetreecafe family, we have made the unfortunate but right decision to CLOSE TOMMOROW (Tuesday 11th June) ONLY!!! OPEN AGAIN WEDNESDAY 12TH JUNE 🥰 Unfortunately we have had karen away ill for the past two weeks (she returned over the weekend thankfully all recovered) I was away for 3 days annual leave with my family for a little getaway last week which unfortunately resulted in myself and my son becoming ill also, the staff had a great week and managed cafe beautifully 😀 Unfortunately a few days later, come the weekend we had staff falling ill and myself unfortunately being admitted to hospital (just released out now and feeling great 👍) the weekend was busy and staff did a great job, however sunday was a tricky day relying on some of our weekend trainees to pick up extra slack, we apologize for delays and a few hiccups with meals, the staff were upset that they hadn't done me proud in my absence but thats not on them, we are now in that time of year where winter can hit small businesses especially hospitality and in 10 years we have not had to shut the doors very often at all maybe a handful of times over this time, i want myself and staff to be fighting fit and cafe stocked with all your favourite home baking ready to open Wednesday morning, so apologies again and see you Wednesday 😘 On a humorous note i think this is the universes way of telling me I'm not ment to be away from the cafe, i got it from now its work work work 🤣

Thank you to all who shared their mothers day with us today, we had a HUGE day today it has surpassed all our mothers day turnovers in the last 10 years 🤷‍♀️🤦‍♀️😘 we are beyond grateful as to how our little country cafe has grown year after year and this is what hard work and dedication from a whole team does, unfortunately we had two staff sicknesses at the last moment which is human nature and you have to move on and deal with it, we were a fully booked cafe from morning to afternoon and of course this brings about wait times, we may have slightly over extended ourselves well actually we did over extend ourselves granted there was 55 + meals an hour but we have not been this overwhelmed with bookings and we turned away many many people at the door or over the phone, customer service and good food and good coffee is our priority over revenue, hospitality is a hard lifestyle and a job a lot of our customers say they could never do, we are human beings we are giving up weekends, holidays, birthdays, mothers days so we are passionate about what we do, we live for this adrenaline of business and sometimes we dont get it 💯 but our team will take it and better it for next time, but even despite long wait times at some points of the day (so sorry 🙏❤) the kindness and gratitude from our customers was outstanding, good night and thanks for supporting our team 💞💗

Rain rain go away 😝we still have hot coffee and good food to brighten up the day ❤ we are just trying to determine if we are opening Anzac day next Thursday, as of course it's a public holiday and while shops are not aloud to open until 1pm, cafes and food places fall into a different category and we can open, just gaging if we would have a lot of interest in opening at this stage, our staff are happy either way to work or have the day off, have a great weekend everyone ❤

Where do I begin...... we love our cafe, so we love our staff, we love our customers, we are so family oriented that our customers and staff are our family also...we share births, deaths, marriages and everything in between..... For myself personally The Limetreecafe is my world, i have so many interactions with "our family" that I really don't need a social life 🤣 I have my passion and everything all rolled into one and I am so lucky our staff take on the same attitude and they are so loved 😘 we have had a trying day today with a fully booked cafe all day and a medical emergency with a loved local in between, it's been an emotional and adrenaline filled day and we thank all who were apart of the day today and your love and support was outstanding 😘 with this love and support we also announce we have our 10 year anniversary coming up this month 🥳🥳🥳 10 years!!!!! watch this space we want to give back to our community, I could get really emotional and soppy here but watch our posts, have a great weekend everyone and lots of love 🥰🥰
