SOUTHERN SERIES UPDATE #2
Apologies to everyone but a clash of dates with a Cross Country Final (that none of the organisers were aware of at the time) has meant another change to round dates.
So sorry for the additional disruption;, it was certainly no one’s intention to muck people around – unless the weather wreaks havoc again this is final amendment of dates.
We thank you for your understanding and patience to these changes and if you can please spread the word of the change.
Current entry list for Round 1 & 2 now available on the Timing Tech website and all competitors from Round 1 & 2 have been emailed.
The revised dates are now set as follows:
Round 1 – Sunday 15th October – Southland Motorcycle Club - The Sandpit, Invercargill (NO CHANGE, ENTRIES OPEN)
Round 2 – Sunday 29th October – Central Otago Motorcycle Club - Moa Creek, Poolburn (ALL ENTRIES/PAYMENTS FROM ORIGINAL ROUND TRANSFERRED TO THIS ROUND UNLESS I HAVE BEEN ADVISED OTHERWISE)
Round 3 – Saturday 11th November – Gore & Districts Motorcycle Club – Riverside Reserve, Balclutha (REVISED VENUE & DATE)
Round 4 – Sunday 12th November – South Otago Motorcycle Club – Riverside Reservce, Balclutha (NO CHANGE)
Round 5 – Saturday 2nd December – Mosgiel & Districts Motorcycle Club – Lee Stream, Outram (NO CHANGE)

Tracks open, dirt in great order for those keen on a spin.

Jedburgh MX Track. was deep groomed for boxy and came up better than I thought !! we had good rain yesterday and was forming up nicely when the boys rode last night.

Another Can-it 4 Cancer done and dusted, massive thanx to Gore Mitre 10, Crowley Electrical Dairy and Pumps and the Mataura Licensing Trust for our feature race sponsors! Special thanx to Gareth Robinson for coming along to reface the jumps and tidy up the track. Thank you to all who have given donations for the cause, to all the Mums and Dads that brought the kids along, to the businesses who provided spot prizes, to the SDBR club for making it all happen and most of all thanks to the riders for attending and making it a great day with some awesome riding!

What a start to the day, weather conditions at Wyndham are perfect for the Can-it 4 Cancer, see ya there!!

People are more than welcome to camp at the track.

Thunder storm this afternoon has washed out track no practice this evening sorry.

'Can it 4 cancer' gear is now available to order. Orders for the first run need to in by 8pm on the 10th of November. See poster for details. There will be another run later on, but these will not be available before the event.

Twilight practise cancelled tonight due to rain.

Going to groom tomorrow morning around 11 as getting hard packed. Will be good to go around 1230.

Tracks open Thursday evening for twilight’s practice and Saturday from 12 to 6. New pricing $ 15 as track updates and putting money aside for a road to track. Please be careful as new jumps do give plenty of air time and distance!!! Riders will be grade for intermediate and open track until things settle in and feed back. 15 minute intervals. Track will open again very soon!! Just needs to be tested!! Big changes !! new jumps add “66” and “Big boy” intermediate track has been groomed also, bring on C4c 27 November. All the best for first rd SS.

Track closed for now during lambing. Will let you all know when its open again with some new changes hopefully!?!?

A few have been asking about track conditions. And it’s a lot better than I thought it would be , will rut up nicely!! Tracks holding water in a couple of corners still a inside and outside line will be great practice to those heading to Godfrey.

Tracks Groomed

Deep ripped track last night in hope of rain and we got some !!! Moisture rolled in will have a late groom in the AM, its going to be sweet!!!!

Afternoon all, just a short notice! Sunday funday at Jedburgh track, 10am onwards (No flaggys or medics!). Practise fun day with a bit of competition. If unwell stay away!
Riders will be put into abilities. Lap times will be taken, e.g Jon is 2 minutes 6 seconds, Bob is 2 minutes 10 seconds. 4 seconds lap time difference. Jon leaves 20 seconds before Bob for a 5 lap race..... Fields of 10-15 riders with similar ability/times.
Will give everyone a chance to have to push to stay ahead or get ahead!
Donation of $20 per bike to go to Charity Hospital.
Support people/riders might need to help out a bit on the day with timing starting and flagging to make it safe ! Any ideas for day PM or phone me 0272882594.
