He led tours of the Inka museum, Inka Garcilaso de la Vega, and also with the Peruvian ministry of tourism. He graduated in 2000 with a degree in tourism and certified as an official guide. He proceeded to study Archaelogy at the university of San Antonio Abad del Cusco. After three years of studying, he travelled around South America and parts of Europe to gain more life experience. On this trip he garnered many ideas on how to create a successful tourist agency in his hometown of Cusco. Upon returning to Cusco with this knowledge, he founded Quechuas Expeditions travel agency. He chose this name because he comes from a family of native Quechua speakers. Quechuas are the native people of this part of South America. Many foreigners call the locals Inkas, but this is actually incorrect because the word Inka comes from Enqa which means king, chief or leader.
