The Fair Trade Store - Cusco
Farmers Cooperative .... We are Making a Fairer World. The only Fair Trade Store in Cusco City.
Good morning to you all.
After a long time I'm getting back on social networks but to ask for support!
Recently an orphan boy named Carlos passed away with Leukaemia, we don't have the financial means for the burial and Christian burial.
We are trying to sell our products at discounted prices and be able to bury Carlos.
Any support is welcome!
Warm regards
Alpaca design
It is very traditional to see in communities of the jungle eyebrow the design of an alpaca in a combination of natural colors.
The reason is because it is the most important animal that provides them with the wool they use to be able to weave their experiences, important experiences in their life and show friends who want to buy. The most used wool throughout the Andes of Peru and the highlands is alpaca, of very fine quality and good for rheumatic pains.
According to historians and archaeologists, alpaca wool was used by the women of the Inka empire in its main heyday (the main task of the Qoyas was to make clothes in fine alpaca wool for the young warriors and clothing for the children), it was also main material for the special cloak that was made in the payment to mother earth. Main material that until today is valued by all people around the world.
Our organization makes this textile heritage continue for future generations and valued by all people since each textile and design has a history of why it was woven that way.
Help us to continue with this project of valuation of Andean art and the fair life for our weavers.
All our textiles are finely made of pure alpaca fiber. Using ancient techniques and worshiping the rainbow in the color combination, they use indigenous plants for dyeing.
It is hand-spun (finely), and the result is a totally natural, high-quality handmade product.
This heritage is very important since it is part of the culture of Cusco and through the Fair Trade concept value is given for future generations.
The help is for the weaver and his entire family so that they can have a decent life.
In these difficult times of hunger and death, we ask for help from all organizations because we want to continue supporting and above all growing as an organization.
HELP US TO CONTINUE GIVING QUALITY OF LIFE TO OUR WEAVERS.

With our support from our organization, our weavers and elderly women can live better, a dignified quality of life.
Our project supports discriminated communities and weavers in the City of Cusco, we support the sale of their products at fair prices and continue to grow in order to support more people and communities.
Unfortunately everything got complicated with the current pandemic which means that we had to close our small store and stop all our sales. We do not have support from anyone (neither the state nor organizations), we currently survive with the donations of people with a good heart.
WE WANT TO CONTINUE SUPPORTING MORE COMMUNITIES, CONTINUE WITH THIS PROJECT, WE WANT TO CONTINUE TO EXIST.
Help us to continue, we have a donation campaign on GOFUNDME
DON'T FORGET US AND HELP US!

Our weavers still smile despite the health problem of COVID 19. The different deaths and orphans did a lot of damage that in many cases is irreversible.
Thanks to all the people who support us to continue with this project.
HELP US SURVIVE!

The smile of our children is the best gift we can have after the nightmare of the pandemic, until today many of them are safer with the different workshops we do.
On International Women's Day we empower each girl so that she is the main engine in the culture and development of her as a person in this country.
The pandemic still damage us but we try to stand out with the different donations and support of the people who believe in us.
Support us to continue with this project and avoid damaging more communities.

Our weaver inviting you to know our project.
Our organization works supporting indigenous communities located in Cusco, Peru. Promoting textiles with Inka history, using older techniques from spinning to dyeing with native plants of each Community.
Our main mission is to provide value to each weaver's work (because it represents our heritage) and with this work to have a decent quality of life, where they and each of their families can live well.
Our work concept is Fair Trade where we do justice for the products and buyer (80% of the total price goes back to the weaver and 20% for the maintenance of the organization). Nonprofit organization.
With this pandemic is where things are not going very well in our city, there is no tourism and there are no visitors in this city, which means that our groups are in danger because nothing is sold. We created a donation campaign in GOFUNDME for people with good hearts who wish to donate.
We ask everyone to support us in this noble cause since behind this project there are many families who suffer.
SUPPORT US!

All our fabrics represent the different experiences that each weaver feels and wants to show it.
The combination of colors is related to this, since in most cases it is the representation of the Rainbow.
We continue trying to survive the current pandemic, we have faith that with your help we can move forward.
Help us to continue with this fair fight!
