Happy Sabbath, dear sisters!
On this special Women's Ministries Emphasis Day 2024, let us rejoice in knowing that God sees us through every desert and every triumph in our lives. He is intimately aware of our struggles and our dreams, watching over us with unwavering love and compassion. As we celebrate today, may we open our hearts to His presence, recognize His hand at work in our lives, and keep our eyes firmly focused on Him. Embrace the joy and peace that comes from His everlasting care. Have a blessed and joyous Sabbath!šš
Happy Sabbath God's people!
š¤Understanding the Sabbath: A Key to End-Time Faithfulness
Through deep Bible study, Adventists have discovered the importance of the Sabbath in God's law, especially as we approach the final days of earthās history. The Sabbath, rooted in Creation, stands as a powerful reminder of God as our Creator and Sustainer.
In Revelation, we see a cosmic battle over true worship, with the Sabbath at its heart. As the world changes rapidly, letās stay vigilant and faithful, honoring God's commandments and finding rest in His grace every Sabbath. š
In 1 Peter 3:9, we're reminded that God's timing may not always align with ours, but it's never a sign of negligence. Instead, it's a display of His patience and compassion towards us. His ultimate desire is for everyone to find repentance and salvation, emphasizing His boundless love for all of us.
Happy Sabbath š
God's Word, the Bible, might face criticism or attempts to silence it, but it can't be wiped out entirely. Some people who call themselves Christians weaken its importance by doubting parts of it or focusing too much on its human aspects, rather than its divine origin. This undermines God's truth.
We must resist any efforts to undermine the Bible. It's still relevant today, touching people's hearts and giving new meaning to those who are open to its message and guidance.
Acknowledge God in everything you do and He will show you the right way.
The induction ceremony for our pathfinders and adventurers today at Yanga Seventh-day Adventist Church was a momentous occasion filled with excitement and a sense of purpose. The induction ceremony was not just an event; it was a milestone marking the beginning of a new chapter in the lives of these young adventurers and pathfinders. With their hearts full of hope and determination, they set forth on a journey of faith, service, and discovery, ready to navigate the challenges that lay ahead.
The ceremony proceeded with the leaders and mentors sharing inspiring words about the significance of the pathfinder and adventurer programs. They emphasized the values of teamwork, leadership, and community service, instilling a sense of responsibility and purpose in the young minds. We were blessed to have with us Elder Josiah Novulu as our guest speaker and district rep.
The atmosphere was charged with anticipation as the eager faces of the new pathfinders and adventurers shone with enthusiasm.

Jesus Doesnāt Want You to Celebrate Valentineās Day
A lot of Christians will be celebrating Valentineās Day on February 14. However, do you know that Jesus doesnāt want you to celebrate this pagan holiday? Hereās why.
Itās February! Itās the time of the year where the prices of the flowers, chocolates, greeting cards, dating places, and many others exponentially go up. According to some statistics, Valentineās Day is one of the costliest world holidays around the globe along with Christmas, Halloween, and Easter. And when you start to think about it, all of these holidays have its roots in paganism!
Valentineās Day is a pagan holiday
Valentineās Day is derived from the ancient pagan Roman celebration of Lupercalia, which is a fertility festival. This festival is commonly associated with immoral sexual activities, or**es, gluttony, and drunkenness. At the end of the festival, young men will draw young ladiesā names from a box and the two will become sexual partners until the next festival.
Does Jesus approve Valentineās Day?
You might be shocked to learn what your Bible say about Valentineās Day. First of all, there is nothing in the feast of Lupercalia that is worth celebrating as a Christian holiday. Showing love under the trappings of a pagan festival is an abominable and unacceptable act of worship.
We read throughout the Bible how God hates pagan worship. We read it in the following scriptures:
Jeremiah 10:1-5
Deutoronomy 12:29-32
Colossians 2:8
Matthew 15:3
Matthew 15:8-9
Exodus 32
And others
GOD IS CONSISTENT. He considers pagan worship as abominable, detestable, vain, useless, futile, nothing, and SIN. If you really want to worship God, we need to stop celebrating pagan-holidays-turned-to-Christian-holidays.
Our Adventist Youth Ministries presents Induction ceremony 2024. The moment our young people have been long waiting for.
You're welcome to join us if you're in Lae.

Today we had a very special program that celebrates a very special service of rewarding young people in Adventist Youth Ministries. Our pathfinders and Adventurers were invested.
We were privileged to have a rep from Lae Central District, Elder. Warren Mathias, as our guest speaker. Three Masterguides invested our pathfinders and Adventurers.
We praised God as the program ends successfully. We thank the three Masterguides, Elder. Warren Mathias, Elder Mason Kolonga and Laurie John. We also thank the staff of Yanga AYM and the church leaders and members for being part of the program and for making it a success. All to the Glory of God.
We may have our own plans but God has the last say. He even has better plans for us; we only need to submit and trust him.
Have a productive and a prosperous week.
Yanga Church was honored to have Morobe Mission President, Pr. Kua Nugai today. He paid a visit along with his PMSS Director, Pr. James Puk.
He was given an opportunity to share with us a thought in the Bible. The message he shared was reviving. He shared on Elijah repairing the altar on Mt. Carmel and prayed to God where God heard his prayer and sent the fire from heaven that burnt up the sacrifice.
We must repair our altar and pray to God so that he will use us mightily for His glory.
Everyone of us was blessed with the message and grateful for his visit.
Today has been a wonderful day for our Pathfinders. They enjoyed their Soap Craft and Soap Making honor practical with our very own Aunt Maryjane. She's skillful in herbal soap and lotion making.
She's happy to impart the knowledge and skills to the pathfinders.
Soap Making is not only an honor but a skill that can help you in the long run.
Our pathfinders will make soap and sell them to raise funds to help with the ministry needs.
To God be the Glory.
Never let your children be strangers to Jesus and His Love, because they are an heritage of the Lord.
Bring them up to know the Lord and give their lives to Him.
What a history set by our Pathfinders having walked a total distance of 35.6 km along the coastline from Bukawa to Lae, on July 14 - 16, as part of their outdoor and health & fitness requirements.
A total of 16 pathfinders, 2 youths, 6 staff along with 6 local guides have safely participated in the hiking and Pack Camp in a period of 3 days and 2 nights.
The journey began with a dinghy ride from Lae down to Bukawa on Thursday afternoon. The actual hike started on Friday morning with a honor session on Camping Skills 1. With dull and showers, the pathfinders got on their feet with packs on and onto the beach.
They walked a total distance of 14 km and rested for the night.
On Sabbath after service and several honor classes, they continued the hike at about 11am. They only walked a total distance of 6km. The biggest obstacle having overcame was crossing the fast flowing brown Buso river. They all managed to cross with the help of local guides and staff with few brave pathfinder boys.
At 2pm they set foot on Aluki Beach, a place not permanently occupied by the Aluki Villagers. They occasionally come here only for fishing. It was a blessing for the pathfinders as they were offered a camping place for them to spend the rest of the afternoon and the night as well.
As the Villagers were about to leave, the pathfinders offered them a Message from the Bible and bade them farewell. One honor class was conducted that led to Sabbath Closing Program. The camp was all set up and the Pathfinders went to bed early after having their meal.
On Sunday, they had their Canoeing honor theory and practical at the same time. It was a wonderful experience for most of the pathfinders as it was their first time to have paddle the canoe. They also had fish honor and then had breakfast with fried fish and campfire breadstick.
At about 11am they left for Lae. It was a sunny day that they were filled with so much energy, joy and enthusiasm in which they walked 15.62 km in 5 hours. They arrived safely at 4pm at Yanga Church ground (Lae) and were transported by vehicle to their homes.
A total of 7 honors were conducted which includes Hiking 1, Camping Skills 1, Geology 1, Fishes 1, Ecology 1, Rocks and Minerals and Canoeing 1.
The Pathfinders have shown courage, determination and strength and much prayer towards the walk which shows a successful completion with zero injuries/accidents/incidents amidst risks and hazards.
The program was planned by the Yanga AYM, and through church board's attention, it was executed by the Pathfinder Director, Laurie John and Deputy Director, Pais Tamar along with the help of the pathfinder staff.
They acknowledged the church board, members and parents for the support in cash or in kind. They thanked them for their prayers and above all praised God for a successful program.
All for God's Glory.
Photos attached are highlights of the hike. A map guide is also attached.
The wisdom to see things clearly comes from God. Come closer to Him.
Happy Sabbath from Wampit Church ā¤ļø
Happy Sabbath
Our pathfinders were part of the Morobe Mission Pathfinder Fair that took place from June 28 to July 02 at Klinwara, Markham, along the Highlands Highway, exactly 77km away from LaeCity.
Districts that were present are Wau-Waria, Bulolo, Huon Gulf, Markham 1&2, Lae Central and Nawaeb District. A total of 45 clubs made it to the camp where Yanga Pathfinder Club is a part of.
Under the leadership of the Yanga Pathfinder Director along with 6 staff, 3 youths, 2 cooks and 1 security, 28 of our pathfinders were able to enjoy to the end.
With the theme, 'I will go with Jesus' and Pr. Cameron Wari was the guest speaker. Inspiring messages were delivered.
A range of activities were conducted that involves spiritual, social, physical and mental development. The pathfinders enjoyed meeting new friends, learning new skills, taking part in fair games and building camp furnitures, and above all having delighted on the Word of God.
We thank God for taking care of the pathfinders, the organizers under the leadership of Morobe Mission Youth Director Prm William Uwa and the team and everyone who made the program possible.
