INTELLIGENCE, A CATALYST

"It was a disruptor then and poised to be a disruptor again"

The missions, administrators, planters and settlers from 1884 brought a form of intelligence forming an integral part of our nation building story at which in our 7th phase now, the landscape itself of intelligence as a force is already in motion bringing with it a greater source of influence by access to information itself.

In a presentation in 2016 at the APEC 020 Forum in Vietnam, I spoke of our family story of going from stone age to digital age in 60 years and highlighted observations and learning by a continuum of exposure by tumbuna stories in our oratory practice and the formal education process.

"Who knows what tomorrow will look like" was a phrase I recall from my grandparents and one I say today to my grandchildren, with a sense of audacity, to instilling as a blueprint by duty to remain open to embrace change by understanding risk mitigation is itself a skill set to be imparted.

The process of education as we know it by its sources in content is in its own battle and in 87'600hrs, 3650 days or a decade, a Papua New Guinean 10yrs old will be 20 giving us the challenge of producing a productive population for its time to nation building for that period of which some of us may not be around to see.

A significant period of time presents itself and we are capable to evolve our capacity paying it forward.
