Give Love This Hearts Day
Expressing love is essential for emotional well-being, fostering positive relationships, and creating a sense of connection and fulfillment in both the giver and the receiver.
1. Make yourself a special treat. Taking the time to make yourself a special treat is a form of self-care that goes beyond satisfying physical. This act of self-indulgence can boost your mood, reduce stress, and serve as a simple yet meaningful way to show yourself kindness and appreciation.
2. Write your friends and yourself a love letter. It involves expressing deep appreciation, gratitude, and affection for the meaningful relationships you share. By articulating your feelings and acknowledging the positive impact both you and your friends have on each other's lives, you contribute to a culture of love, support, and affirmation, enhancing the overall well-being of yourself and those you hold dear cravings.
3. Go on a movie date. Choosing a movie that resonates with both individuals' interests can spark meaningful conversations and deepen the bond. The shared activity fosters a sense of togetherness and provides a backdrop for creating lasting memories.
4. Take time to catch up with loved ones. Carving out time to catch up with loved ones is more than a simple act of communication; it's a commitment to nurturing relationships and maintaining meaningful connections. It involves dedicating undivided attention to the people who matter in your life, and actively listening to their experiences, thoughts, and emotions.
5. Have a picnic or game night to end the day with a smile. Both options, a picnic or game night, serve as deliberate choices to infuse positivity and connection into your day, contributing to a sense of fulfillment, relaxation, and the creation of cherished memories.

3. ๐ Track Your Progress: Keep a journal ๐ or use a handy tracking app ๐ฑ to watch your progress. Regularly check your accomplishments and make tweaks when necessary.

ECE stud placed fifth in PSQ regional
Cheska Marie Tanglao, a first-year BS Electronics and Communications Engineering student in Systems Plus College Foundation (SPCF), placed 5th in the Philippine Statistics Quiz (PSQ) Regional Championship last November 10, 2023.
โThis is my first time competing as [a] college [student]โฆitโs really new to me. Itโs both challenging and exciting for me,โ said Tanglao.
Tanglao was previously recognized as the champion in the 27th PSQ Provincial Elimination held at Otel Pampanga, City of San Fernando, Pampanga on October 23, 2023, where she was teammate to Jarion Brent Pineda and Lee Yan Paul Fukuda, both first-year BS Computer Engineering students in SPCF, who were named runners-up.
Meanwhile, Engr. Rodrigo Gutierrez, Tanglaoโs teacher-coach, expressed that statistical education is important when applied in the real world especially for students, both in academics, future careers, and possible business endeavors.
Gutierrez further explained that it would be beneficial to integrate the questions from the competition in work courses. He emphasized the importance of teaching students about the involvement of statistics to national issues such as birth rate, death rate, and inflation.
Tanglao also gave her advice to students aiming to excel in statistics or similar competitions: โMag-practice ka lang nang mag-practice para masanay โyong utak mo na nagso-solve and then everything will go easy after that.โ
The PSQ, launched in 1992, is an annual contest designed for college freshmen studying in any private or public Philippine college or university. #
