Videos by Malabanias Integrated School 500132 in Angeles City. MALABANIAS INTEGRATED SCHOOL is a school-home community in Tamarind Street, Barangay Malabanias which caters to learners from Kindergarten to Grade 12. It is a school that started as Malabanias Elementary School in 1984.
IN PHOTOS: MIS highlights the importance of reading through the project “Brigada Pagbasa” and showcases the art and skills of the MIS teachers through the project “GANDARA” by cleaning, replanting, and designing the MIS gardens through the artful and industrious hands of the MIS teachers, learners, parents, and other stakeholders. At 8:30 in the morning, the Brigada Pagbasa started to run. Teachers in-charge of the said project led the day’s activities to accentuate the significance of the project and its impact on the young readers around the community of Barangay Malabanias. The Read Trip began at exactly 10:00 until 11:30 am. During this time, some teachers in-charge visited a community in Barangay Malabanias bringing with them the optimum goal of introducing the love of reading to children towards meaningful learning. Activities in the reading local consisted of basic introduction of proper word pronunciation and storytelling to the children of the community. Both the teachers and the young readers enjoyed this activity, and the goal of the project was successfully met. In the meantime, to prepare for the School Year 2022-2023, MIS teachers and other volunteers worked together to do some classroom cleanings as a continuation of the previous day’s cleaning activity and the reviving of the school gardens. This activity started at 8:00 in the morning to 12 noon and 1:00 to 5:00 in the afternoon. The 4p’s parents had also arrived and helped in cleaning and gardening stuff. The outputs of the said activities will definitely inspire and prepare learners for the upcoming opening of the school year. Additionally, this project maintains a safe learning environment for the MIS learners and creates an ideal place for the teachers to deliver quality education.
PHOTOS: Day 3 of the MIS Brigada Eskwela The Brigada Eskwela 2022 at Malabanias Integrated School is still going strong with the help of the staff, parents, students, volunteers, and other interested parties. As they cleaned and dusted their assigned classrooms and locations, everyone was enthused and worked together pleasantly. For the 2022–2023 academic year, the aforementioned classrooms will be used to provide students with a comfortable learning environment. A school-based reading program called Brigada Pagbasa was resumed to encourage pupils to enjoy reading. More specifically, "Basa Trip" was initiated to teach reading to the kids living on the streets. Young students have a wonderful opportunity to explore the best aspects of reading thanks to this opportunity. The City Office of Angeles also provided a neutering service for the stray cats and canines inside the school as part of their ongoing support of the institution. It is intended not only for the welfare of the humans who are on the school's property but also for the protection of the animals.
Day 2 of Brigada Eskwela continues in Malabanias Integrated School Teachers, together with other volunteers, dusted and cleaned the classrooms as a preparation for the incoming school year 2022-2023. Assigned teachers, parents and learners swept and mopped the floors, wiped the windows and other surfaces to be able to provide the students a classroom that is conducive to learning. The Brigada Pagbasa program also commenced and took place at the stage of MIS where teachers provided reading remediation activities to the students. Some volunteers, such as the PNP, helped in cleaning the classrooms and the Gulayan sa Paaralan (GPP). The "Decluttering, Sorting and Recycling" of previous year's materials was also resumed and the Waste Management team, headed by Mr. Gabriel L. Gopez, collected these papers to be able to generate income as part of the Brigada Eskwela fund.
IN PHOTOS: MIS participates in Brigada Eskwela 2022 Kick off Teachers, students, and volunteers trooped to Malabanias Integrated School on Monday, August 8 to “come and work together” for Brigada Eskwela 2022. With the theme 'Tugon sa Hamon ng Ligtas na Balik-Aral', this annual event would run until August 26, which would highlight the country’s collective efforts from various partnership engagements, creating a safe learning environment for the learners, teaching and non-teaching personnel, and community to achieve safety while ensuring the delivery of quality education. Malabanias Integrated School started the opening of BE with an oozing energy on their cheers and performances as the Teachers, Learners, Stakeholders, and volunteers gathered to intensify the advocacy through a Community Dance. Also, one of the highlights of the event was the appreciation post for the Stakeholders who continuously supporting the school every Brigada Eskwela. In addition, For the education quality facet, Brigada Pagbasa was introduced, with Ma'am Blesilda Basilio, leader of the program. The Brigada Pagbasa is an after school reading remediation program in response to Bawat Bata Bumabasa (3Bs Initiatives). Meanwhile, according to Mr. Mark Laurenz Cunanan, Brigada Eskwela Coordinator of the School, the program highlighted the spirit of volunteerism and unity among the teachers, learners, and stakeholders. Some of the present volunteers were Hon. Vice Mayor Vicky Vega Cabigting, Hon. Councilor Kap NikNok Banola, MIS GPTA President Mr. Jojo Pion and officers, DITO Community and AC streetsweepers. After the program proper, the MIS started the project 'Pagbusina at Pagbisita sa Brigada' Eskwela' where the teachers and other volunteers started the House-to-house campaign amidst the critical weather condition.
