IN PHOTOS: MIS highlights the importance of reading through the project “Brigada Pagbasa” and showcases the art and skills of the MIS teachers through the project “GANDARA” by cleaning, replanting, and designing the MIS gardens through the artful and industrious hands of the MIS teachers, learners, parents, and other stakeholders.
At 8:30 in the morning, the Brigada Pagbasa started to run. Teachers in-charge of the said project led the day’s activities to accentuate the significance of the project and its impact on the young readers around the community of Barangay Malabanias. The Read Trip began at exactly 10:00 until 11:30 am. During this time, some teachers in-charge visited a community in Barangay Malabanias bringing with them the optimum goal of introducing the love of reading to children towards meaningful learning. Activities in the reading local consisted of basic introduction of proper word pronunciation and storytelling to the children of the community. Both the teachers and the young readers enjoyed this activity, and the goal of the project was successfully met.
In the meantime, to prepare for the School Year 2022-2023, MIS teachers and other volunteers worked together to do some classroom cleanings as a continuation of the previous day’s cleaning activity and the reviving of the school gardens. This activity started at 8:00 in the morning to 12 noon and 1:00 to 5:00 in the afternoon. The 4p’s parents had also arrived and helped in cleaning and gardening stuff. The outputs of the said activities will definitely inspire and prepare learners for the upcoming opening of the school year. Additionally, this project maintains a safe learning environment for the MIS learners and creates an ideal place for the teachers to deliver quality education.
PHOTOS: Day 3 of the MIS Brigada Eskwela
The Brigada Eskwela 2022 at Malabanias Integrated School is still going strong with the help of the staff, parents, students, volunteers, and other interested parties.
As they cleaned and dusted their assigned classrooms and locations, everyone was enthused and worked together pleasantly. For the 2022–2023 academic year, the aforementioned classrooms will be used to provide students with a comfortable learning environment.
A school-based reading program called Brigada Pagbasa was resumed to encourage pupils to enjoy reading. More specifically, "Basa Trip" was initiated to teach reading to the kids living on the streets. Young students have a wonderful opportunity to explore the best aspects of reading thanks to this opportunity. The City Office of Angeles also provided a neutering service for the stray cats and canines inside the school as part of their ongoing support of the institution. It is intended not only for the welfare of the humans who are on the school's property but also for the protection of the animals.
