Good Day parents & guardians! Enrollment is now on-going until July 31!

Disaster preparedness in school is a MUST. Complete the students’ disaster preparedness kits, attach a whistle on their IDs and make them aware on how to be safe during and after a disaster.

"Others will say that kids with autism lack emotions. Luckily for me, my child is the sweetest. Although he is truly a hard-headed kid, when he feels that I am in a bad mood, he tries to comfort me and make me smile. He likes to cuddle and always says he loves mama.

Having a support connection when you have a child with special needs plays a big role in our daily lives. Having support from immediate family, relatives, friends, and communities uplift not only the morale of the parents but also the attitude and disposition of the child. What’s important is to find and strengthen your support for those who really understand your situation. Support may come in forms: financial, spiritual, but most importantly mental and physical. While you are guiding your child, they will be your adviser and they will help you be more optimistic when you are having a hard time. You will need these positive thoughts for you to move forward.

As for parents with special needs like me, we need to be tough and optimistic. We need to stay positive for our mental health and for our kids. We must stay focused and choose our support connection wisely. We, parents, tend to be more sensitive than our kids, so we need to keep in mind that there are times strangers will judge not only our kids but also our values on how we raise them. It’s okay; tell yourself that they don’t know the feeling, the frustration, and exhaustion since they don’t experience it. Remind yourself, no child is 100% the same. Let them judge, what’s important is that your priority is your child.

Stay healthy parents and have ample rest. Recharge so we’ll have the energy to guide our little one. Enjoy your “me time”. We’re also humans, so we should have time to meet friends and relax once in a while. And of course, acceptance— it is the key as they say. In order for us to understand our little ones, we need to fully accept what they are, and what they could be. They are God’s blessing.
