Philippines takes 3rd place in advancing renewable energy projects The Philippines was ranked third among countries that made huge progress in implementing renewable energy initiatives, according to research from the Ocean Science and Technology.

Renewables, still stuck at 22%! ⬇️🚧

In 2023, the Philippine grid generated around 112.2 TWh of electricity, marking a 5% increase from the previous year. 📈

Coal maintains its reign over the electricity sector, commanding a hefty 61.9% share of Philippine power generation in 2023, trailed by natural gas at 12.4%, and geothermal at 9.2%. ⚡️

Despite a dip in natural gas generation from 17.1% in 2022 to 12.4% in 2023, coal managed to swell from 58.9% in 2022 to 61.9% in 2023. As for renewables, their contribution slipped from 22.5% in 2022 to 22.3% in 2023. 📉

Using Tigo Energy's Rapid Shutdown Devices (RSD) in conjunction with RSS Transmitters featuring Pure Signal Technology (PST) demonstrates a commitment to safety and efficiency in solar energy systems.

Compliant with 2017 PEC Article 6.90.2.6, these devices not only ensure the safe operation of the system but also contribute to the project's overall performance. It is essential to continue monitoring and maintaining the system to ensure it operates optimally throughout the project's lifespan.

An 8.8kWp Grid-Tied system was recently installed and commissioned by SULU Electric in Mandaluyong.

Depending on our client's unique usage, this PV system has a potential monthly savings of up to P9,600.
