May this feast remind us that every greatness emerged from simple and humble beginning and all things happen in accordance to God’s plan.

LITERACY✍🏻

We commonly define literacy as the ability to read and write. But it’s not as simple as it sounds.

Literacy is still part of our present that we maintain and escalate. Valuing literacy give us a lot of knowledge more than writing and reading.

According to (NCTE) National Council of Teachers of English (2020) literacy have numerous components like:
• Including improved nutrition
• Increased access to economic opportunities
• Environmental sustainability, have been linked to high literacy rates.

Today, let's celebrate and promote the literacy and spread knowledge and make it as a structural part of our life and learning. 💖

As the donation for the affected families of bagyong Enteng progresses, we are thankful for the sponsors who wholeheartedly donated their extra clothes that are not in use.

To this week, we individually packed the clothings gave by the Sangguniang Kabataan and the SSLG President, Arriane Joyce Barcelo with the help of School Governing Council (SGC).

The preparations for the upcoming donation drive are halfway done. We, are kindly knocking to your dearest hearts to further donate goods that will aid the struggle of the affected constituents inside and beyond our school

After the recent surge of Tropical Storm Enteng, many families were affected. The Supreme Secondary Learner Government (SSLG) will be conducting a donation drive for all the learners of Antipolo City Senior High School (ACSHS) that are affected by Tropical Cyclone Enteng. Small or big help from everyone is very much appreciated. We are happy to accept any donations given.

Rest assured that all donations will be given to beneficiary students who are affected by Bagyong Enteng. All donations can be drop off at the office of the SSLG.

Bullying victims experience a lot of depression, anxiety, and terror. Isn't it fantastic when we simply let ourselves to become accustomed to a world where we accept one another's differences? So let's take a stand against bullying, and play our parts to prevent these cases from spreading.

What are the causes of su***de?

According to M. West (2022) here are the risk factors why individuals having suicidal idealization:

• Depression or other mental health conditions.
• A history of su***de attempts.
• A family history of su***de, substance misuse, or mental disorders.
• Chronic pain
• Recent release from prison
exposure to family violence, including sexual or physical abuse.
• Direct or indirect exposure to others’ suicidal behavior.
• The presence of guns in the home.

This is a reminder for us not to ignore our loved ones who are going through problems, preventing them from becoming su***de victims.

Let's spread awareness and help them escape the situation that will make them suffer. ✊🏻💚

Ngayong araw, ating ginugunita ang Araw ng mga Bayani. Magigiting na taong isinaalang-alang ang buhay para sa ikabubuti ng nakararami. Mga taong lumaban para sa kanilang bayan at sa kanilang mga kababayan. Taos puso ang aming pasasalamat sa inyo, sa pagtulong at sa pagsasaalang-alang sa aming kaligtasan. “ The Lord is my light and my salvation–whom shall I fear or dread? The Lord is the Refuge and Stronghold of my life–of whom shall I be afraid?” - Psalm 27:1

Psalm 27:1 assured us of the undivided protection and guidance from the Lord. He is our light and our salvation, for he delivers us from darkness, described here as fear and uncertainty, by which he gives us refuge under his wings. For this reason, there is nothing to fear; with him as the stronghold of our lives, no challenges can defeat us.

This verse teaches that as believers, we ought not to fear but to stand firm in our faith, believing in the Lord's presence, where there is no fear. In his presence, one finds the strength and courage to go through any given situation, with the assurance that he will surely lead one safely through it. 🤍

A great leader has the courage to stand firm in the most difficult moments, speak for the voiceless, and acquire empathy for others. Despite the crossroads of decisions, a leader should always choose what is best for their followers, rather than for themselves.

Antipolo City Senior High School, a standalone Senior High School in Antipolo City, is home of dedicated student-leaders and future leaders beyond the campus. The celebration of International Youth Month highlights the passion and dedication of these learners. Their actions reflected the welfare of the school community by providing beneficial programs, projects, and activities for their fellow learners.

𝗦𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝗕𝗲𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗕𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀

In the world of education, balancing academic workloads is challenging enough; what more if these students take on additional responsibilities beyond their academic duties? The words “student-leader” emphasizes that students first fulfill their role as learners who are filled with curiosity, ideas, and seeking knowledge before becoming a servant to their peers.

As they embark on another journey, stepping into the world of leadership, these learners become a bridge, using their platforms to support and address the challenges faced by their schoolmates.

Leaders, whether inside the classroom or in various organizations, hold huge responsibilities not only for themselves but for their members and to the school community. “Ang mga student-leader ang nagsisilbing boses ng mga kapuwa mag-aaral sa kanilang mga hinaing at mga problema na kailangang solusyunan ng paaralan. Datapuwa't kung walang tinig buhat sa sangka estudyantehan ay hindi matutukoy ang problema. ”Ariane Joyce Barcelo, SSLG President, stated when asked about the significance of being a student leader.

𝗗𝗶𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗢𝗿𝗴𝗮𝗻𝗶𝘇𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗢𝗻𝗲 𝗚𝗼𝗮𝗹

Antipolo City Senior High School has served as a stepping-stone for students aiming to hone their leadership skills, with its various clubs and organizations actively engaging in this mission. Despite their differences, the school organizations unites with a common goal: to implement and support diverse programs and projects.

These clubs and organizations include the Supreme Secondary Learner Government (SSLG), Barkada Kontra Droga (BKD), and Youth for Environment in School Organisation (YES-O), which became the prominent organization to continuously promote the DepEd 4 core values: Maka-Diyos, Maka-Tao, Makabansa, and Makakalikasan in order to provide a healthy and safe learning environment.

The Viewpoint and Ang Tinghoy, the official student publications of ACSHS in English and Filipino respectively, established to cover news both within the campus and beyond and ignite the power of campus journalism. These publications empower students to voice their concerns, advocate for their rights, and raise awareness on various societal issues.

Moreover, the Boys Scouts of the Philippines (BSP), together with the Girls Scouts of the Philippines (GSP), have constantly given their efforts in assessing the schools in various events, teaching essential emergency skills to students, and promoting youth development.

𝗩𝗮𝗹𝘂𝗲𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗩𝗼𝗹𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗲𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗺

These student-leaders become volunteers in the school community to ensure the safety of fellow learners. In times of difficulties, leaders make themselves available to assist their followers. Being a student leader doesn't require anything in return; they embrace the values of volunteerism.The sole reward that a student-leader receives are the virtues they have gained along the way and the fruit of the trees they have planted.

As leaders of new generations, they create a campus where everyone can be a leader who assists their fellow students. A leader who embodies volunteerism in order to uplift the spirit of unity within the school community.

“Leaders' purpose is to serve, not be served. A leader should be courageous and humble when volunteering as part of the work, especially in critical situations where a leader is allowed to respond thoughtfully and effectively," says Una Lhane Saquido, President of JBMS.

Ginanap ngayong umaga ang taunang pagdiriwang ng Buwan ng Wika na may temang “Filipino, Wikang mapagpalaya.”

Sa pagdiriwang ng Buwan ng Wikang Pambansa, isang seminar ang ginanap sa silid- aklatan ng Antipolo City Senior High School. Dito tinalakay ang paksang “paglaban sa misinformation.” Ang nasabing panuntunan ay siyang pinangunahan ng Kaguruan ng Asignaturang Filipino kasama ang espesyal na panauhin na si Dr. Vidal S. Mendoza Jr.

Ang konsepto ng literasiyang pang media at ang paglaban sa ibat- ibang media information disorder gaya ng misinformation, maliformation, at disinformation ang mga tinalakay sa panuntunan.

Inaasahan at iniimbitahan ang lahat ng mga mag-aaral at mga g**o na makiisa sa paglaban sa patuloy na pagkalat ng ibat-ibang information syndrome.
