We shoot portraits and events. Wowenkho Studios is a company that currently provides studio photoshoots and event photo coverage.
The company, the brainchild of Michael S. Apeles, was officially born as a web development company in April 2005 with only his old laptop connected to his school’s wi-fi connection at the hall where he usually stayed during his college days. Maraming salamat sa pagpasok ng August!
Madalas sinasabing mahina itong buwan, pero ngayon ko napansing kaunti na lang pala at mabobook na lahat ng weekends ngayong buwan!
In fact, meron pa nga akong natatanggap na mga trabaho na sayang at hindi ko magagampanan dahil may nauna nang client sa mga araw na yun at iilan lang ang weekends sa isang buwan! :(
Pero bagama't ganun grateful ako kasi merong nagtitiwala at hindi yung talagang walang-wala.
Pero sana rin may magbook pati na rin ng mga weekdays ng August. :D

Ms. Josephine, who wonderfully turned 50 this year, had her photoshoot with us at Wowenkho Studios also at the day of her birthday party! :D
She had 2 outfits during our shoot. And this was one of them where she donned a lovely black floral dress! We prepared our flowers and décor at a corner of the white house for this peg :)

We definitely went wild with various light sources, props, and hazy elements to produce these photos of Jade in our recent photoshoot at Wowenkho Studios!
As we were planning on the outfits she was going to wear, they referenced a photoshoot of ours with a similar look and feel. And we gladly emulated that shoot for Jade to have her own take on it. We're glad we both pulled it off and they loved the photos! :)

I miss doing our shoots in the white house. Since March, I'm not able to do shoots there anymore.
But here are samples of our work there. I definitely love the bright and soft ambience the white house gives.
Luckily, there are still many areas in our compound to use as locations for our shoot that will still resemble this bright mood.

In this 1-hour portion of my live stream, which I ended just now, I talked about how combos work, how they can be essential for boards with few keys, what are best practices for setting where you do your combos, and how all of this combo mumbo jumbo is a very personal endeavor to you as the keyboard user.

Here are the key takeaways:
- Combos are 2-4 keys pressed at the same time that you can assign to output a different command/character. VIAL will check the specific characters pressed together to consider if it's a combo, not the coordinates of the keys pressed.
- Combos expand the number of commands you can map to a board with a few keys. In fact, they're good to emulate and map the usual 2u keys in a full-sized keyboard (e.g. backspace, enter, tab, shift, etc). But the keys don't have to be adjacent to be a combo. In fact, the location of the keys do not matter.
- Combos are personal because you have to memorize where you did your combos as you may not necessarily have visual cues for them in your keyboard. Only the VIAL software can provide you with the reference to those combos, unless you wrote them elsewhere.
- It's good to get combos with related functions also near each other. That way, you become more efficient when using those functions, and you memorize them quicker.

Last year, we had a wonderful time taking photos of Karen for her 18th birthday! After a month from the shoot, we also covered her debut celebration! :)
We decided to use natural lighting from the opened windows and doors for this shoot. As usual we also went ham on the flowers and other decorations we have. :)

Our Story
Wowenkho Studios is a company that specializes in web-based solutions and photography services.
The company, the brainchild of Michael S. Apeles, was officially born in April 2005 with only his old laptop connected to his school’s wi-fi connection at the hall where he usually stayed during his college days. While he was in 3rd year college, he would juggle both his schoolwork and the workload of his newly formed company.
Nevertheless, with the limited time and resources he had before, he was still able to be recognized for his web sites, audio/visual presentations, and fanbase forums for big local bands such as Sponge Cola, Kjwan, and Hale.
Back in the day, Wowenkho Studios also provided web-based solutions for universities, notable ones being the main web portal of Far Eastern University in 2005 and the Online Assisted Resume Creation System for the Ateneo de Manila Placement Office in 2009.
As time passed, the company eventually started to target small to medium enterprises of various industries. This shift of our client base happened as we noticed the need of businesses like ours to grow with a reliable web site to present to and to be used by their clients.
Michael then discovered that the demand for his photography services was growing. From the start, the company’s photography endeavors were merely an additional service packaged in our web development projects. People started to notice Michael’s output in photography as he started sharing his photos in social media channels and joining open photoshoots. Other people gained interest enough that he decided to offer photography services, particularly photoshoot sessions and event coverages, as a standalone service.
Nowadays, most of the work we get are photography-based. We still do accept and receive web projects once in a while, but our photography services have currently become our bread and butter.
