Q. What extraordinary graces are available on Divine Mercy Sunday?
A. Our Lord revealed to St. Faustina His desire to literally flood us with His graces on that day. He told her: On that day the very depths of My tender mercy are open. The soul that will go to Confession [beforehand] April 6, 2024 and receive Holy Communion [on that day] April 7, 2024 shall obtain complete forgiveness of sins and punishment (Diary 699).

The Easter Triduum, also known as the Paschal Triduum or the Sacred Triduum, is a period of three days that begins on the evening of Maundy Thursday and ends on the evening of Easter Sunday. It commemorates the passion, death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. The Triduum includes the following liturgical celebrations:

Holy Thursday (Maundy Thursday): This day commemorates the Last Supper of Jesus Christ with his apostles, during which he instituted the sacrament of the Eucharist and the priesthood. It also recalls Jesus' washing of the disciples' feet as a sign of humility and service.

Easter Vigil: The Easter Vigil is celebrated on Holy Saturday evening and marks the beginning of the Easter season. It is the most solemn liturgy of the Catholic Church and includes the blessing of the Easter fire, the lighting of the Paschal candle, the chanting of the Exsultet, readings from the Old Testament that recount salvation history, the baptism and initiation of catechumens, and the celebration of the Eucharist.

The Easter Triduum is considered the holiest time of the liturgical year for Christians, as it commemorates the central events of salvation history and the foundation of the Christian faith.
