GUIDELINES & MECHANICS FOR PARTICIPATION

1. Bacacay Singing Idol ’24 is open to all aspiring singers and signing enthusiasts.

2. There shall be two (2) categories for the contest:

i. Bacacayano Category – 13 yrs old & above
ii. Open for Bicolanos Category – 13 yrs old & above

3. There shall be an Audition of applicants on August 19, 2024 (1:00 PM) at the Municipal Plaza of Bacacay, Albay. The Contest Proper shall be held on the same day at 8:00 PM of the same venue.

4. Applicants must bring a copy of their PSA birth certificate and a valid ID.

5. Criteria for Judging:

SELECTION OF 10 FINALISTS

* Voice quality (tone, smoothness, dynamic & articulation) - 50 pts.

*Stage presence (confidence, facial expression, enthusiasm & deportment) - 40 pts.

*Presentation (audience impact & appropriateness of costume) - 10 pts.

Total - 100 pts.

FINALS

* Musicality (mastery & appropriateness) - 30 pts.

*Voice quality (clarity of tone, timbre phrasing & voice projection and dynamics) - 40 pts.

*Overall performance (deportment, expression, song interpretation and costume) - 30 pts.

Total - 100 pts.

6. The decision of the panel of judges is final and irrevocable.

The Regional Quality Assessment Team (RQAT) evaluation for the Bachelor of Science in Entrepreneurship (BS Entrep) was conducted by the Commission on High Education (CHED) RO V today, July 11, 2024, in Bacacay Community College, San Pedro, Bacacay, Albay.

The said event was participated by the RQAT member Prof. Ma. Anjelica N. Ampongan and Dr. Karen I. Iniego, Education Supervisor II together with the Municipal Mayor Edsel Belleza, Municipal Vice Mayor Bob Arjona, Municipal Councilor Rodel Belleza Andres B. Barcellano, MM, PhDc, College Administrator, Jose C. Bo, DBA, Dean, College of Business Administration, Emelyn B. Barcia, EdD, Dean, College of Education, and Nenita Villalon, HRMO.

Examinees are viewing their results from the July 5 and 8, 2024, Bacacay Community College Admission Test (BCCAT) today at the Deans office.

All examinees are hereby instructed to report to the community college and bring a photocopy of their Report Card/Form 138 if they wish to continue their education in BCC, starting today.
