This is why the SSLG started an initiative in line with our Iwas Dengue Campaign in response to the dengue outbreak in Bacolod City. 🚫🦟

To help prevent a dengue case, let us continue to keep our surroundings clean, the waters in drainages or canals from getting stagnant and remember to cover water tanks, storages or pails so mosquitoes can’t breed on those waters. Dispose collected rainwater in your classrooms, too. ✨

You may apply an insect repellant lotion on your skin for added safety as well.

What’s up, Gevinians?

Today, we officially launched our No to Single-Use Plastic Policy as part of our RISE program. We at SSLG aims to have a greener and cleaner environment in our school and hope that we carry these values of good stewardship of our planet at all times. Some of the ways we can help save Mother Earth is to reduce and eventually eliminate the use of single-use plastics and choose to bring our sustainable, non-disposable materials wherever we go.

May this transition from using plastics to no more plastics be as smooth as possible for this would surely benefit us all and the future generations. Our goal is that, next week, we will no longer be using single-use plastics in every classroom, office and most especially at our canteens. Remember, a wise creature once said, “Little by little does the trick.” - The Crow and The Pitcher, Aesop 🍃 🍽 ♻️

Hi! I’m ________ _______ , a proud Gevinian. This school year 2023-2024, I'll be stepping up my game: to work and study harder than before. Therefore, no time should be wasted, because it's time to be quality educated. I'm certain the succeeding months would be exciting, with all the knowledge I'd be acquiring from my experiences as well as from my mentors and teachers.
