We had a productive meeting today as we gear up for the upcoming 𝗜𝗡𝗧𝗘𝗥𝗦𝗖𝗛𝗢𝗢𝗟 competitions and program competition for the 𝗙𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗮𝗹 𝗼𝗳 𝗟𝗮𝗻𝗴𝘂𝗮𝗴𝗲𝘀 and 𝗧𝘂𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗼𝗸 𝗡𝗴𝗮 𝗧𝗮𝗹𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗼! Final preparations are in full swing, with facilitators, materials, and assignments all confirmed. Excitement is building as we ensure everything is ready for a smooth and successful event. The day began with a warm welcome from the STI Personnel, who provided an overview of the support systems in place to assist students throughout their academic journey. Following this, the Campus Help Desk was introduced, highlighting its role as a key point of contact for any inquiries or concerns students may have during their time at the school.

Next, the Information Technology team gave a detailed walkthrough of the various technological platforms that students will use. The focus was on the Learning Management System (eLMS), a vital tool for accessing course materials, submitting assignments, and participating in online discussions. Additionally, students were introduced to the One STI App and School Automate, both of which streamline campus activities and enhance the overall student experience.

As we delved into the academic aspects of the year, we covered several key topics. The Academic Year structure was explained, detailing the timeline of classes and significant milestones. Students were informed about the Standard Periodical Exam (SPE) and how it fits into their academic progress. The Grading System was outlined, ensuring that all students understand how their performance will be evaluated throughout the year.

The session on Graduation Honors was particularly inspiring, as it motivated students to aim high and excel in their studies. We also highlighted the various Student Organizations available on campus, encouraging students to get involved and enrich their college experience.

We then moved on to introduce key figures who will play a significant role in students' lives this year. The faculty members were introduced, giving students the opportunity to meet their instructors and understand their areas of expertise. The SSG CED Council, Education Society Officers, and CED Cares Officers were also introduced, emphasizing their roles in student governance and welfare.

The orientation continued with an overview of Network Activities, which are designed to foster collaboration, leadership, and personal growth among students. Following this, the Library Services were discussed, providing an insight into the vast resources available for research and study.

Finally, the session concluded with an introduction to the Guidance and Counseling Office. Students were encouraged to utilize these services for support in personal, academic, and career-related matters.

A special recognition goes to the SSG CED Council for their exceptional leadership in organizing this successful event. Their efforts, along with the invaluable assistance of the Education Society Officers and CED Cares Officers, ensured that the orientation ran smoothly and effectively. Their dedication and hard work have set a positive tone for the academic year ahead.

On the morning of August 22, 2024, the atmosphere at the University was one of anticipation as the election for the Bachelor of Secondary Education (BSED) Junior Liaison unfolded.

The election, a pivotal event in the academic calendar, saw the active participation of students from the 1st to the 3rd year BSED cohorts. The event was spearheaded by the Education Society's President, alongside other key officers, Jeaven Icy Musni and Chelsan May Palete. Together, they ensured the election process was conducted smoothly and fairly, upholding the democratic values that the student body cherishes.

Jeaven Icy Musni and Chelsan May Palete, known for their dedication and commitment to student governance, played crucial roles in managing the election proceedings. Their presence underscored the event's significance as they worked diligently to ensure transparency and order.

By the close of the voting period, many ballots had been cast, reflecting the student body's enthusiasm. The votes were then carefully tallied under the supervision of the GUEES officers, with results expected to be announced later in the day. To awaken the spirit of Freshmen to our morning activities, we started the day by assigning each program to compose their signature 𝘑𝘪𝘯𝘨𝘭𝘦s, showcasing their creativity and school spirit. Followed by 𝘌𝘋𝘜𝘊 𝘎𝘖
an interactive game designed to help our newcomers familiarize themselves with the campus facilities. As the morning draws to a close, we'll introduce the Education Society officers, who will be key to our next game 𝘚𝘪𝘨𝘯𝘢𝘵𝘶𝘳𝘦 𝘏𝘶𝘯𝘵.

This afternoon's activities began with an energizing 𝘡𝘶𝘮𝘣𝘢 session to set the mood and uplift everyone's spirits. After this lively start, we proceeded to the first game of the afternoon, the 𝘌𝘨𝘨 𝘋𝘳𝘰𝘱. Each group was assigned an egg to protect, and their task was to ensure it wouldn't break when dropped from a height. This game tested the students' creativity and innovation, as they were only permitted to use materials they had gathered within the given time frame.
