A vital component of the ever-changing corporate landscape is adhering to BIR laws. Now let's explore the nuances involved in switching from receipts to invoices:

📝 **Comprehending BIR Policies Regarding Bills:**

- The BIR defines invoices as written accounts of goods or services sold, encompassing various types.

- Every business in the Philippines is required to issue invoices.

📋 **Key Guidelines from BIR's RR No.7 2024:**

- Invoices must be issued for sales or services valued at P500 or more.
- Businesses must issue invoices upon the buyer’s request, irrespective of transaction amount.

VAT-registered businesses must issue invoices regardless of transaction amount.

Official Receipts are no longer mandatory but can be issued optionally.

📌 **What to Include in an Invoice:**

- Seller’s registered name, TIN, and business address.
- Statement of VAT registration status.
- Date of transaction, buyer’s details (if applicable), serial number, and more.

💡 **Unused Official Receipts:**

- Businesses can use remaining Official Receipts as supplementary documents until exhausted.

- Unused Official Receipts can be converted into invoices, following specific guidelines.
