The HERO Initiative

This is a fundraising project of USLS MD Class 2018 | Igneus to fund the PPEs of front line health care workers in COVID-19 hospitals in Negros Occidental.
It's not enough that we wait for this pandemic to pass. We have to starting putting in the work to help one another in fighting the spread COVID-19. Through the Mask For Life project, we are able to provide masks to far-off communities, and at the same time, provide the less fortunate a business of cloth mask making!
Your help in this project will go a long way, in our goal to raising a million! Details on how to donate on the pic below! ❤
Who would have thought we will be living to experience a pandemic in our lifetime? And though everyone is at stake, we couldn’t deny the increased risk and hazard to the frontliners, most especially our colleagues in the healthcare field, in battling this unseen enemy.
The burden is heavy as to how to help our health workers be spared from this virus. We know how it feels to be on the frontlines. We have our share of fears and tears, and we can’t help but empathize. This is how the HERO Initiative through USLS College of Medicine Class 2018 | Igneus was created - a fundraising drive to purchase Personal Protective Equipments to prevent the chain of infection as to the possible transmission from person to person.
But of course, this wouldn’t be possible without the help of our very generous donors. To everyone who gave financially, in kind, and any other means to help realize this project without any hesitations and reservations - THANK YOU! You are all kindred spirits! Rest assured, everything is deeply appreciated by our modern day heroes. And it is our fervent prayer that you will all be blessed a thousand fold.
Again, madamo nga salamat!

LIVE on Saturday, April 25 | 6:00 pm
COVID-19 in an invisible enemy that kills so many people and some of them are health care workers. In this crisis, not all heroes wear capes, some of them wear PPEs. Amidst this crisis we are also faced with problem of supply shortage of PPEs. In line with this, USLS Med Class 2018 | Igneus created a donation drive project named, H.E.R.O. (Health Emergency Response Operation) Initiative, this is to help and support the frontliners in the health care field to protect them from any form of hazard that this pandemic brings.
We are calling for monetary donations to fund the personal protective equipment of our health care workers deployed in COVID-19 designated hospitals in Negros Occidental, Philippines
This is also our little way to pay forward to our seniors turned colleagues who have taught us the basics in medicine and in the clinics and helped us to be where we are right now. If not for them, we wouldn’t be here fighting in the frontlines too. And we definitely know how it feels to be engaged in the battlefield without shields and weapons, which indeed is a risk too dangerous to take.
But with our combined efforts and resources (and prayers, of course) we can help break the chain of infection by preventing its transmission.
This is the time to unite and defeat this pandemic that has stricken our nation, our beloved motherland. Surely, we can't afford to lose another army in this battle.
Any donation or amount will be greatly appreciated.
