This has been a heart breaking week in the world of animal welfare.

Miss Mary Timbol founder of Mary's Fur Sanctuary is currently admitted at Dr. Pablo O. Torre Memorial Hospital. She is sick. 🥹

We are all part of this situation: the shelters, the public, the rescues, the animal welfare organizations, the families, the sanctuaries and we all need to work together to help her.

Every time we save a life, we have to commit to providing a level of care for that animal that makes their life worth living. It takes a lot of work and a ton of resources.

Rescuers are only human. We get sick and we also need to take care of our health for our rescues.

We don't get regular Donors po to sustain our rescues and stray feeding.

Kami po yung hindi napapansin madalas sa community dahil we belong to small and independent parties.🥹

Our dear "Salami" passed away Sunday morning. She was a sweet and loving kitty 🥹 We found her laying beside a Big House Rat that we also found dead.

We suspect that the rat ate a rat poison and passed thru our dear Salami 😭.

We never gave rat poison to rats. We know how dangerous it is to our rescues.

May our dear Salami rest well in Cat Heaven. We are again in deep sorrow. 🤍🤍😭😭

‼️May this be a warning to those who practice Rat Poison. Please be cautious with your surroundings. Please do not give Rat Poison if there are pets around.

👉 We checked the area yesterday at 4:30pm.It was a rainy afternoon

👉We found no dog sorry 🥹

👉We asked some of the Trisikol Drivers at Jiga and they Said the dog has an owner but they let him roam around the area.
