JBLFMU is again granted the Autonomous Status by the Commission on Higher Education for its three campuses; JBLFMU Arevalo, JBLCF Bacolod, and JBLFMU Molo. By virtue of CHED Memo Order Number 7 Series of 2024, three campuses can again exercise independent control over its day-to-day operations and curriculum for three years as assured by this grant.

The Autonomous Status is by far the highest recognition that the CHED can grant a private higher education institution based on its accomplishments, commitment to quality and accountability as a higher-education provider.

Congratulations to the Lacsonian Community. May we continue to work hand in hand to be of excellent service to our stakeholders.

Welcome aboard, our Newly-Hired JBLCF- Bacolod Employees!

The Lacsonian Community welcomed 32 newly-hired employees during the Immersion Activities on September 13, 2024.

The events include Zumba, Kape-kape, Pahampang, and the Immersion Activities. This occasion aims to strengthen the bond of employees, to welcome new members of the Lacsonian family, and to renew commitment to the institution. Particularly for the newly-hired employees, these activities provide them with first-hand experiences in building relationships, understanding their roles and responsibilities and learning the institutional culture.

Meanwhile, immersion activities provided the newly-hired employees an avenue to engage in school advocacies particularly for health and environmental protection. Earlier this month, they were introduced to the history, vision, mission, objectives, and core values of JBLCF-B and the policies, guidelines, and procedures of the institution. They were also oriented on the proper flow of communication, the functions of the different Departments and taught the proper conduct expected of employees.

The activities were initiated by the Office of the Human Resource with its head, Mrs. Michelle Jean Villanueva and the working committees.

He emphasized on the areas of Recognizing Cultural Heritage, Promoting Awareness and Education, Encouraging Sustainable Practices and Preserving for Future Generations.

Lastly he highlighted celebrating Maritime Archipelagic Nation Awareness Month with this theme "Maritime Heritage: Let us Preserve it for our Future", which is an invitation to reflect on the rich maritime heritage, the responsibilities of current generations, and the necessity to protect and preserve these resources and traditions for the future.

Other activities related to the above mentioned celebration are Video Showing about Puerto del Mar, Life Below Water, Climate Change and Plastic Pollution/Marine Litter, Classroom Integration on Marine Environment Courses of the CME and the International Coastal Clean-up initiative.

📣It’s Maritime and Archipelagic Nation Awareness Month‼️

Every September is designated as Maritime and Archipelagic Nation Awareness Month (MANA Mo) by Presidential Proclamation No. 316.

The significance of the Philippines' maritime and archipelagic identity is highlighted during this month-long festival, which also underscores the critical role our oceans play in the country's economy, culture, and security. It's an opportunity to increase understanding, promote cooperation, and stimulate a more profound appreciation of our abundant marine resources. Together, let's preserve and safeguard our maritime legacy for upcoming generations.
