"Lord, promise ma simba nagid ko permi," or "Lord, promise indi ko na pagsuliton."
These are a few of the promises we make and break, with the hope that we can manage to change by ourselves.
Nevertheless, we are fragile.
The truth is, our promises don't matter.
All we need is God's promises that surely live on and will never be broken.
"Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful." — Hebrews 10:23
We cannot keep our promises all the time, and we can never change on our own, it is through His grace that can transform us. True peace comes within knowing His faithfulness never fails.
"It's not about your promise, it is His."
👉 Perhaps, one of the most common misconceptions among believers is that the gospel is only for the unsaved. But Paul in his letter to the Galatian believers sternly rebuked them after they went back to the law for their justification (Galatians 3:1-3) and urged them to continue in the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ which is the gospel (Galatians 1:3-9, Acts 20:24). His exhortation comes with a warning -- being eternally condemned -- against those who preach another gospel contrary to the one preached to them. However, in his letter to the Colossians, Paul has a positive commendation: "The gospel is bearing fruit and growing throughout the whole world—just as it has been doing among you since the day you heard it and truly understood God’s grace" (Colossians 1:4-6). Paul is pleased because these believers stayed, grew, and bore fruit in and through the gospel.
You see, the gospel is good news to both unbelievers and believers. Its importance and worth do not diminish after one becomes saved. We Christians are commanded to continue to grow in the glorious realities Christ accomplished for us on the cross and in his resurrection.
Through this sermon, you will learn and understand the gospel in its entirety and its practical application in your life. You can now review the sermon, "The Gospel of Jesus Christ: The Good News of Jesus and His Finished Work" on YouTube.

👉 You will never glory in God till first of all God has killed your glorifying in yourself.
- C. H. Spurgeon
🥸 In his letter to his dear friend Gauis, John the Beloved wrote about the guy named Diotrephes, and warned the church about him and the trouble he brought to the body of Christ. This man is proud, superior, and arrogant. He spread malicious reports, refused to welcome John and his companions, and put those he disagreed with outside the church. His strong desire for prominence makes him unwilling to work with others. He was "killing" the body of Christ like a disease that makes the body weak and unable to function properly. His characteristics are the exact opposite of what the apostle Paul is encouraging the believers in Rome. Paul in Romans 12:3-13 encourages the believers to be humble, to think of others first, and to use their spiritual gifts to serve the church. This is what Jesus desires for his bride.
God calls each and every one of us to kill "Diotrephes" in us before it becomes a cancer that slowly kills the body of Christ. No man, through his pride, should exalt himself above Christ and others. Pride has no room in the church. We must kill Diotrephes.
Through this sermon, you can learn the principles of how to serve Christ and the church through humility and by exercising the spiritual gifts the Holy Spirit apportioned to us. You can now review the sermon Killing "Diotrephes" - Serving the Body of Christ.

We are excited to announce and welcome Ptr. Junmar Arcena as part of Goldland Baptist Church pastoral team. We praise our heavenly Father for sending laborers to accomplish the ministry that He entrusted to the church. Ptr. Arcena will focus on our sports ministry that aims to reach out the unsaved souls in our community through basketball.
