19 March 2020 - CLARIFICATION ON TRANSPORTATION AND BARANGAY PERMIT 🚩

☝️Private cars and motorcycles, those walking are NOT required to get Barangay Permit or register in the barangay if they are going out to buy food supplies and other essential purposes.

☝️Only those who will ride the PUJ/Taxi in the barangay will register in the Barangay. There should be no fee for the registration or Barangay Permit.

☝️ The city government of Baguio will NO longer allow ANGKAS for motorcycle riders in view of the strict implementation of social distancing and after receiving reports that some riders are collecting fees from their 'angkas' or passenger.

☝️ Motorcycle will still be allowed as means of transportation during emergencies, for food deliveries, workers under the food service and food manufacturing, health and uniformed personnel, utilities and BPO workers.

The City Government Management Committee led by Mayor Benjie Magalong held an emergency meeting on COVID-19 contingency measures today, March 15, 2020 and adopted the following directives:

☝️Computer shops in the city should close at 9 PM. No students should be allowed in these establishments at curfew time;

☝️It is reiterated that students returning from places with localized virus transmissions must submit themselves to madatory home quarantine for 14 days;

☝️The city's siren will be sounded every 9.30 PM to signal people to prepare to go home. The second siren would mean time to go home.

☝️All malls are requested to close one hour earlier from their usual closing time;

☝️The public is may report incidents of overpricing to the city's COVID-19 hotlines:
