Inviting all Cordilleran youth aged 18-25 to voice out your thoughts in an essay writing contest from October 12 to October 23, 2020 (12MN).

MECHANICS:
1. The essay must be focused on the theme “Sustainable indigenous knowledge, systems and practices on environment and natural resource management in Cordillera”.

2. The essay must discuss a specific Cordilleran indigenous knowledge, system and/or practice relevant to environment and natural resources management. (e.g. Lapat in Abra and Apayao; Chontog in Benguet; Muyong in Ifugao; Kiakay, Pinuju, and Bantangan in Mountain Province; and Imong in Kalinga, among others.)

3. The essay must be written in the English language.

4. The essay should have at least 500 words.

5. The essay should be posted and be made public in the personal Facebook account of the participant to allow readership and shareability. It should be accompanied with one relevant photo about the topic. It should have the hashtag at the end of the post and should tag the Cordillera Administrative Region.

6. There should only be one entry per participant.

7. All entries must be submitted on or before the deadline via email @ [email protected]. Entries must have the following:
a. A copy of the essay;
b. A link of the essay posted on Facebook;
