On August 29, 2024, the three-day Barangay Information Management cm Adoption & Customization of the DILG Flexible Learning & Enhanced Knowledge Service (FLEKS) for Various DILG PPAs concluded successfully.
The FLEKS was completely transferred to the four DILG Provincial Offices and the Regional Info and Comm Unit (RICTU).
Moving forward, DILG Region 1 aims to fully customize the system and start the implementation in January 2025.

BASAHIN | Pahayag ng DILG sa Pagdiriwang ng Araw ng mga Bayani
Nakikiisa ang Kagawaran ng Interyor at Pamahalaang Lokal (DILG) sa ating sambayanan sa pagdiriwang ng Araw ng mga Bayani ngayong ika-26 ng Agosto, 2024 – isang testamento ng matatag na diwa ng patriyotismo ng mga Pilipino.
Sa napakahalagang araw na ito, magbalik-tanaw tayo at bigyang-pugay ang mga sakripisyo ng ating mga bayani na hindi nagpasiil sa puwersa ng mga dayuhan upang palayain ang ating bayan mula sa pananakop.
Kasabay ng paggunita natin sa buhay ng mga taong nagpaningas ng nasyonalismo ng naunang salinlahi, nawa’y mag-alab din ang matinding pagmamahal natin sa Inang Bayan habang patuloy nating itinataguyod ang kasarinlan na kanilang ipinaglaban.
Sa araw na ito, alalahanin din natin ang ating modern-day heroes na walang sawang naglilingkod sa bayan tungo sa kaunlaran.
Halina’t tumindig nang may dangal at isabuhay ang kagitingan ng ating mga bayani habang binabaybay natin ang daan tungo sa Bagong Pilipinas.

Part 2 - The Local Governance Summit 2024 culminates with its final session at the Philippine International Convention Center (PICC) in Pasay City on August 23, 2024.
Led by the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) and the Union of Local Authorities of the Philippines (ULAP), the two-day Summit focuses on strengthening the partnership between national and local governments under the theme, 'LGUs sa Bagong Pilipinas: Smart. Resilient. Driven.'
Local leaders and stakeholders discuss innovative strategies and exchange best practices in governance and public service.
It also aims to update participants on the latest developments in governance, with a strong emphasis on digital transformation, climate resilience and enhancing LGU capabilities to achieve the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
WATCH | The Department of the Interior and Local Government together with the Union of Local Authorities of the Philippines (ULAP) launched the first ever Local Governance Summit 2024 at the Philippine International Convention Center (PICC) in Pasay City on August 22, 2024.
Under the theme, 'LGUs sa Bagong Pilipinas: Smart. Resilient. Driven.,' it convenes local leaders and stakeholders to delve into innovations and share best practices in local governance and public service delivery.
𝟯𝟵 𝗕𝗔𝗚𝗨𝗜𝗢 𝗕𝗔𝗥𝗔𝗡𝗚𝗔𝗬𝗦 𝗖𝗢𝗠𝗠𝗘𝗡𝗗𝗘𝗗 𝗔𝗡𝗘𝗪
City officials recently commended and congratulated some 39 barangays in the city that were included in the Kalinga at Inisyatiba Para Sa Malinis Na Bayan (KALINISAN) sa Bagong Pilipinas program list for the second quarter 2024 in the Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR).
In a resolution authored by Councilor Leandro B. Yangot, Jr., city legislators stated that the top 39 barangays’ initiative, participation and support in the aggressive cleanup drive under the government’s KALINISAN sa Bagong Pilipinas program deserves the utmost commendation and recognition from the local government.
This program has three components, namely, barangay road clearing operation (BARCO) that aims to provide safety and convenience to the public by ensuring orderly and well maintained streets and roads; Barangay at Kalinisan Day (BARKADA) or the community-based cleanup drive program which aims to make communities safe and health to live in, and the Halina’t Magtanim ng Prutas at Gulay (HAPAG) sa Barangay project which aims to plant more trees and create sustainable green edible species in communities.
The city’s barangays included in the list of BARCO compliant barangays are Aurora Hill Proper, South Sanitary Camp, Victoria Village, Brookspoint, Upper Quezon Hill, Mines View Park, Camdas Subdivision, Holy Ghost Extension, Gabriela Silang, East Bayan Park, South Drive, Scout Barrio, Magsaysay Private Road, Quezon Hill Proper and Alfonso Tabora.
For the BARKADA program, the city’s barangays that were able to make it to the list are Gibraltar, Lower Rock Quarry, Trancoville, Bakakeng Central, Middle Rock Quarry, Andres Bonifacio, Marcoville, Brookspoint, Loakan Proper, Phil-Am, Camp 8, Green Water Village, South Drive, Lower Lourdes Subdivision and Kabayanihan.
For barangays that were in the HAPAG list include East Bayan Park, Upper Market Subdivision, Salud Mitra, Imelda Marcos, Happy Hallow, Dontogan, Fort del Pilar, Phil-Am, Outlook Drive, Sto. Nino Slaughterhouse, Loakan Apugan, Scout Barrio, DPS, Middle Rock Quarry and South Drive.
Earlier, the Department of the Interior and Local government issued Memorandum Circular No. 2024-001 enjoining all barangays nationwide to conduct a cleanup drive activity as part of the celebration of National Community Development Day and in support of the launch of the KALINISAN sa Bagong Pilipinas program.
