READ I The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Baguio City Field Office initiated the assessment process for the Lupong Tagapamayapa Incentives and Awards (LTIA) across 128 barangays last February 19-24, 2024. As with the previous year, the assessment was done through DILG-FLEKS – an innovative online platform developed by DILG-Baguio City. This evaluation, conducted in accordance with the enhanced criteria and guidelines outlined in DILG Memorandum Circular No. 2023-022, evaluates the performance of the Lupong Tagapamayapa in the following key areas: a. Efficiency in Operation b. Effectiveness in Securing the Settlement of Interpersonal Disputes Objective of the Katarungang Pambarangay c. Creativity and Resourcefulness of the Lupong Tagapamayapa d. Area or Facility for Katarungang Pambarangay Activities e. Financial or Non-financial support The Lupong Tagapamayapa demonstrating exceptional performance with scores of 90 points and above will undergo further assessment by the Baguio City Awards Committee (BCAC). Chaired by City Director Millicent B. Cariño, with the City Prosecutor serving as the Vice-Chairperson. The BCAC comprises of members including the Municipal Trial Court Judge, Liga ng mga Barangay City Chapter President, City Peace and Order Council Representative, and a Civil Society Organization representative. The BCAC will select and endorse at least one outstanding Lupong Tagapamayapa to the Regional Assessment Committee (RAC) as a regional nominee for the Highly Urbanized City (HUC) Category. Regional awardees will receive development grants totaling PhP50,000.00. Additionally, the 1st Runner-Up and 2nd Runner-Up will receive PhP30,000 and PhP20,000.00 respectively. Lupong Tagapamayapa distinguished as National Winners will be conferred with a trophy and a development grant of PhP300,000.00. /mcsb
