Presenting, the Montañosa Film Festival 2024 official calendar of activities.🎬

The Montañosa Film Festival, now on its 4th year, continues to foster Baguio’s stature as home to independent filmmakers, thus profiling the city as a center for film expressions, in vogue with global and national trends. This further strengthens Baguio City’s rebranding as a safe and Creative City while exploring film as a tool to revive the tourism industry in the region.

This year's theme, "BUILDING BRIDGES BEYOND BOUNDARIES" encapsulates the essence of creating meaningful connections and enabling people to forge collaborations across physical distance and between distinct cultures in current times, thereby building bridges between diverse societies of diverse cultures and therefore fostering understanding and appreciation of cultural differences and alikeness, leading towards successful collaborations.

The Montañosa Film Festival is a nine-day special event from March 16 to 24, 2024 wherein carefully selected independent short films compete and vie for awards and prestige. The festival showcases exceptional narrative fiction and documentary films by budding filmmakers across the country.

We can’t wait to welcome everyone on our opening gala on March 16, 2024! Prepare to enjoy screenings of Montañosa Film Festival 2024 films in competition for the Documentary, Narrative, and Mobile Film categories and indulge in the different activities and surprises we have in store for you!😉

The Montañosa Film Festival 2024 is co-presented by the City of Baguio, Department of Tourism, National Commission for Culture and the Arts, Department of Trade and Industry, and supported by festival lead partners- the Cultural Center of the Philippines, the Film Development Council of the Philippines, SM City Baguio, Asia Pacific Film Institute, UFO Workshops Manila, Philippine Tourism Promotions Board, Creative Baguio City Council, The Workshop for Infinite Media, Inc., Baguio Tourism Council, LOStories Media Productions, Baguio Country Club, and Grand Sierra Pines Baguio.
