Youth Empowerment & Mental Health Seminar

BBCCC, through the initiative of the Gender and Development Committee (GAD), held a seminar on Youth Empowerment and Mental health. Dr. Andrew Macalma from Saint Louis University facilitated the said seminar on September 7, 2024, at the BBCCC Building II Basement. There were 54 participants in the said seminar.

MUTUAL BENEFIT ASSOCIATION FOR BBCCC MEMBERS

BBCCC, in collaboration with MiMAP (RIMANSI), conducted training for twelve (12) survey enumerators and FGD facilitators on September 6-7, 2024. Subsequently, the survey enumerators and FGD facilitators will collect data from September 9 to September 12 from BBCCC members. The objective is to transition the Saranay and Damayan programs into a microinsurance program and establish a mutual benefit association for BBCCC members. This initiative aims to enhance services, provide better benefits, and foster a cooperative environment where members collaborate for mutual benefit and financial well-being.

DIR. ERIC G. SANTOS ELECTED CHAIR OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS NORWESLU

At the recent general assembly of NORWESLU on September 7, 2024, BBCCC Director Atty. Eric G. Santos was elected to the Board of Directors. Subsequently, the newly elected directors of NORWESLU elected Atty. Santos as the Chair of the Board. Additionally, Atty. Jaybee D. Pascua, a member of BBCCC ELECOM, was elected to the ELECOM of NORWESLU. NORWESLU is an association of primary cooperatives, including BBCCC.

BBCCC and Sablan LGU Fosters Partnership

In the photo is the mayor of Sablan Hon. Alfredo B. Dacumos Jr., with BBCCC Chair Dir. Janette D. Orca, Vice Chair Annabelle G. Carreon, together with Mr. Jeffrey Rubino, Chair of the CONMED, during the town’s Fruit Festival. BBCCC Chair Dir. Janette D. Orca and Vice Chair Annabelle G. Carreon were invited to grace the affair and served as judges in the fruit based snack preparation and one basket culinary challenge contests as part of the activities in the said festival. Meanwhile, BBCCC identified the municipality of Sablan as a partner in the implementation of the former's Community Social Responsibility (CSR). BBCCC representatives had been coordinating with the mayor and other officials of the town in relation to BBCCC’s CSR activities.

BBCCC’s Concern for the Community
The BBCCC donated 5 gallons of alcohol, 4 boxes of gloves, 1 thermometer, 1 oximeter, and 4 boxes of betadine to 911 on Call. This was in response to a letter of request from 911 on Call requesting medical supplies needed in their daily operations. 911 on Call is rendering public service to the community within the BLISST area. Meanwhile from another letter of request from barangay Lubas La Trinidad, requesting for supplies and equipment for Sitio Guitley clinic, BBCCC responded favorably on the said request. Photos below presents the turnover of the said donations to 911 on Call and Barangay Lubas La Trinidad.
