The University Student Council - Education Subsidy Grant has been reinstituted for the next A.Y 2024-2025! 🔊😮

The USC believes that reopening the ESG is both necessary and desirable in order to assist the university's financially disadvantaged students. The USC-ESG was reinstated due to the USC's commitment to delivering opportunities in an effective and efficient manner, with a particular focus on providing adequate and improved educational opportunities.

PERIOD OF APPLICATION: JULY 8-20, 2024 at SDWO (S217) and look for Ma'am Jennifer Malayo.

BENEFITS:

1. Covers fifteen thousand pesos (15,000) per term;

2. The scholar will receive the scholarship grant benefit for the succeeding term provided that he/she complies with the scholarship obligations and renewal of the scholarship as stated in the USC College Scholarship Program.

REQUIREMENTS FOR APPLICATION:

1. Accomplished USC Education Subsidy Grant Application Form (UC-SDWO-FORM 153) , with attached latest 2x2 ID picture;

2. Certified photocopy of latest final grade slip;

3. Graduating students must secure a certification from the Registrar's Office;

4. Recommendation letter from the immediate head of the office if the applicant was a student assistant of UC;

5. Clearance form from the immediate head if the applicant is a student assistant;

6. Certification of Tax Exemption by BIR or Certificate of Indigency from DSWD;

7. Application letter of the applicant with an attestation that he or she is not under any other scholarship program.

Led by the University of Cordilleras (UC) Commision on Higher Elections (COMELEC) last June 8, 2024, the University Student Council (USC) Administration 2023-2024 held the Ceremonial Signing for Revised Constitution and By-Laws (CBL) 2024.

University Administrators, College Governors, Office of the Ombudsman, and College Representatives were present at the UC Cañao Hall.

Baccalaureate program means 𝗰𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗴𝗲 𝗯𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗿’𝘀 𝗱𝗲𝗴𝗿𝗲𝗲. Thus, graduate school, College of Law, and Senior High School were not considered as ipso facto members of the USC.

In the case of Senior High School, they are mandated by the Department of Education, while the College Students are mandated by the Commission on Higher Education. In this difference, a different student council was created. For the SHS, they have the Supreme Student Government, while for the college students, they have the University Student Council. That difference solely draws the line between the two. Thus, it is highly time to empower the Supreme Student Government to rule on their own jurisdiction.

Also, with regards to the funds, last April 8, 2024, the Council received information which states that the collection from the SHS does not proceed to the USC fund. Instead, it proceeds to the fund of the Supreme Student Government.

𝟮. 𝗕𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗿𝗲𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀

a) Art. V, Sec. 7 of the USC Constitution and By-Laws 2011 states that, “ In addition to the President and Vice-President, the Student Parliament shall also be composed of nine (9) Senators who shall be elected at large…” However, this Article was amended by the Revised USC Constitution and By-laws 2024 Art. VIII, Section 7 states that, “ In addition to the President and Vice-President, the Student Parliament shall also be composed of 𝘁𝗲𝗻 (𝟭𝟬) 𝗦𝗲𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘀 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗱𝗶𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗰𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗴𝗲𝘀 who shall be elected at large…”

This amendment increases the representation of students making sure that at least one senator shall come from one college.

b) The Revised CBL 2024 added on Article V, Section 1, paragraph d that, “ (𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗨𝗦𝗖 𝘀𝗵𝗮𝗹𝗹) 𝗥𝗲𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗯𝗼𝗱𝘆 𝗮𝘀 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗽𝗼𝗹𝗶𝗰𝘆-𝗺𝗮𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗯𝗼𝗱𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗔𝗱𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗻𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗺𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗽𝗼𝗹𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗱𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗹𝘆 𝗮𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗨𝗦𝗖, 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆, 𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗮𝗱𝗼𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗿 𝗲𝗻𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗰𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁”

In line with this, paragraph e of the same Article and Section states that, “𝗘𝘅𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗱𝗶𝘀𝗮𝗴𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗶𝗻 𝗮 𝗹𝗲𝗴𝗮𝗹 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗳𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗼 𝗮𝗻𝘆 𝗽𝗼𝗹𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗼𝗿 𝗱𝗲𝗰𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘀𝗵𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗼𝗿 𝗺𝗮𝘆 𝗮𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗼𝗻 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗯𝗼𝗱𝘆.”

This revision highlights the student participation and representation on the policy making of the University Administration and makes sure that the USC was representing the common interest of the student body, thus, empowering them to express disagreement to any policies or decisions of the University Administration.

c) 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗥𝗲𝘃𝗶𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝗖𝗕𝗟 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟰, 𝗔𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗹𝗲 𝗩, 𝗦𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝟮 lays out the duties and responsibilities of the Council. The following are the highlights of the revision:

• 𝗦𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝘀 𝗮 𝘃𝗼𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗹𝗶𝗮𝗶𝘀𝗼𝗻 𝗯𝗲𝘁𝘄𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝘀𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗽𝗼𝗽𝘂𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗔𝘂𝘁𝗵𝗼𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀.

• 𝗥𝗲𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗺𝗮𝗷𝗼𝗿 𝗽𝗼𝗹𝗶𝗰𝘆-𝗺𝗮𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗯𝗼𝗱𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆.
• 𝗥𝗲𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝘆 𝗱𝗶𝗮𝗹𝗼𝗴𝘂𝗲𝘀 𝗿𝗲𝗴𝗮𝗿𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝘂𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗳𝗲𝗲 𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗲𝘀.
• 𝗥𝗲𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝘂𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗿𝗲𝘃𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗛𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗯𝗼𝗼𝗸.

These amendments were added to the USC CBL Constitution and By-Laws to ensure that each and all students are well represented in every matter that may have direct or indirect effect to them.

In line with the tuition fee increase, 𝗔𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗹𝗲 𝗜𝗜𝗜, 𝗦𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝟯, 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗨𝗦𝗖 𝗖𝗕𝗟 𝟮𝟬𝟭𝟭 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗲𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁, “𝗦𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝘀𝗵𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗿𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝗯𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘀𝘂𝗹𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗿𝗲𝗴𝗮𝗿𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗻𝘆 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗼𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝘂𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗰𝘂𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗳𝗲𝗲𝘀 𝘀𝘂𝗯𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝘀𝘂𝗰𝗵 𝗿𝗲𝗴𝘂𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝘀𝗲𝘁 𝗳𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗵 𝗯𝘆 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗖𝗛𝗘𝗗 𝗼𝗿 𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗴𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗲𝘀.” However, ensure that the students were highly notified to every tuition fee increase, the latter was amended by the USC CBL 2024 which was found on 𝗔𝗿𝘁. 𝗩𝗜, 𝗦𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝟯 wherein a statement that, “𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗖𝗦𝗖𝘀 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗴𝘂𝗶𝗱𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗨𝗦𝗖 𝘀𝗵𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗯𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘀𝘂𝗰𝗵 𝗻𝗼𝘁𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻” was added.

𝟯. 𝗛𝗲𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗱 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗰𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗔𝗰𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆

- The 𝗥𝗲𝘃𝗶𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝗨𝗦𝗖 𝗖𝗕𝗟 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟰 𝗶𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗶𝘁𝘂𝘁𝗲𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗴𝘂𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗚𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗼𝗿.

The League of Governor (LOG) serves as a shadow council which holds the USC accountable in times that the Council is no longer performing its duties and responsibilities. Furthermore, the LOG was created to ensure that the Council was able to attain its objectives and uphold its duties and responsibilities.

- 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗴𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗻𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗴𝗲 𝗥𝗲𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝘀 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝗹𝗶𝗮𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁

Based on the 𝗔𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗹𝗲 𝗩𝗜𝗜𝗜, 𝗦𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝟭 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗨𝗦𝗖 𝗖𝗕𝗟 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟰, “𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝗹𝗶𝗮𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝘀𝗵𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗯𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗵𝗶𝗴𝗵𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗽𝗼𝗹𝗶𝗰𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗱𝗲𝗰𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻-𝗺𝗮𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗯𝗼𝗱𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗨𝗦𝗖”.

The Student Parliament is composed of the USC and elected College Representatives from different Colleges. Furthermore, the revised CBL highlights on 𝗔𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗹𝗲 𝗩𝗜𝗜𝗜, 𝗦𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝟭𝟬 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁, ”𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗴𝗲 𝗥𝗲𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲𝘀 𝘀𝗵𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗲 𝗮𝘀 𝗮 𝗹𝗶𝗮𝗶𝘀𝗼𝗻 𝗯𝗲𝘁𝘄𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗨𝗦𝗖 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗖𝗦𝗖. 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗴𝗲 𝗥𝗲𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝘀𝗵𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗯𝗲 𝗻𝗼𝗻-𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗶𝘀𝗮𝗻” This provision makes sure that even at the decision-making of the USC, there is a proper check and balance.

- 𝗔𝘀𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗲𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗢𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗢𝗺𝗯𝘂𝗱𝘀𝗺𝗮𝗻

The Office of the Ombudsman is an independent body which serves as a judicial branch of the Council. The revised USC CBL assures the convention of Ombudsman to elect its Chief Ombudsman which shall take place one (1) week after they take their oath of office.

𝗤: 𝗪𝗵𝘆 𝗱𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗔𝘂𝗱𝗶𝘁 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗶𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗲 𝗶𝘀 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗽𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁?
𝗔: Audit Committee is deemed part of the parliament for internal audit purposes. The University Student Council was being audited by the Vice President for Finance. In everything that the Council needs to acquire, it follows a certain process which undergoes on these offices: SDW, OSAS, VPAAS, Office of the President and Vice President on Finance. And in most of the purchase, it is the LMO who bought things for the council.

Article I, Section 1 of the Election Code and By-Laws states that, “𝗧𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝘀𝗵𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗯𝗲 𝗮 𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗼 𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗼𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗦𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗹 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗴𝗲 𝗦𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗹𝘀 𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝟴𝘁𝗵 𝗙𝗿𝗶𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝗮𝗳𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗲𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗿𝗱 𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗺𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿, 𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝘂𝗰𝗰𝗲𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗰𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘀 𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝗶𝗻 𝗰𝗮𝘀𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗲𝗿 𝗳𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘀 𝗼𝗻 𝗮 𝗛𝗼𝗹𝗶𝗱𝗮𝘆.” In order to systematize the election, the former article was revised into, “𝗧𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝘀𝗵𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗯𝗲 𝗮 𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗼 𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗼𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗦𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗹, 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗴𝗲 𝗦𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗹𝘀, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗴𝗲 𝗥𝗲𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲𝘀 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻 𝟯𝟬 𝗰𝗮𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗮𝗿 𝗱𝗮𝘆𝘀 𝗮𝗳𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗲𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗿𝗱 𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗺𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿, 𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝘂𝗰𝗰𝗲𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗰𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘀 𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝗶𝗻 𝗰𝗮𝘀𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗲𝗿 𝗳𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘀 𝗼𝗻 𝗮 𝗛𝗼𝗹𝗶𝗱𝗮𝘆.”

This revision systematizes the election and makes it earlier than before. The rationale behind it is to assure that there will be a proper transition and turn-over of office from the outgoing officers to the incoming once.

A RESOLUTION FOR THE ALLOCATION OF THE UNIVERSITY STUDENT COUNCIL FUND PERCENTAGE

The Second Joint Convention was conducted on this 11th day of May 2024. During the convention, one of the agendas include the Student Parliament consisting of USC and College Representatives approving the percentage allocation of the USC fund as follows:

a) 45% will be divided equally among three (3) main priority agendas, including internationalization, research, and community initiatives;

b) 30% will be allocated to the USC Education Subsidy Grant;

c) 14% will be allocated for the operational expenses of USC;

d) 10% will be allocated to a contingency or emergency fund to address unforeseen circumstances and emergencies; and

e) 1% will be allocated for office supplies of the USC to ensure the smooth operation of USC activities.
