This is Timmy and had been suffering from urethral obstruction. Male (but can happen to female) cats usually develop small stones that formed from the kidneys overtime and are passed down to the bladder which is mainly caused by their diet and infrequencies in water intake.

Signs include discomfort, straining to urinate, frequent and/or painful urination, and sometimes blood in urine.

Consult our Veterinarians if you observe these signs as it can lead to serious consequences if left untreated.
