ANNOUNCEMENT: Brigada Eskwela activities scheduled for tomorrow, July 25, are suspended.

The Office of the Executive Secretary has made this decision to protect workers in the government and private sector working in government offices and classes at all levels in Regions III, IV-A, and the National Capital Region.

ANSHS Brigada Eskwela will resume on Friday and Saturday (July 26 to 27).

As Brigada Eskwela 2024 kicks off this day, we are greatly thankful for all the volunteers who took their time to help in this yearly act to create a positive environment conducive to learning in preparation for another school year ahead, as well as to those generous people who donated cleaning materials and school supplies for our beloved school.

Special thanks to Girls in Green of ANSci for their support and assistance, which shows their commitment and dedication to helping the community.

We are still calling for volunteers and donations as Brigada Eskwela ’24 is just starting. Together, let us foster the spirit of ‘bayanihan’ to welcome a fresh start and a new chapter ahead.

To enhance knowledge and skills in addressing and preventing violence against women and children, the ANSHS faculty, school staff, and the ANSHS SSLG officers participated in the Gender and Development (GAD) Training held on July 19, Friday.

The event commenced with opening remarks from School Principal II Irene H. Llave, who emphasized the institution's commitment to gender and development. The School Parent-Teacher Association (SPTA) President Joey Cabagnot also gave an insightful message focusing on promoting gender equality and awareness among participants.

Furthermore, the event included Police Senior Master Sergeant (PSMS) Alicia V. Mapindan, Baler Municipal Police Station (MPS) - APPO GAD focal person, as resource speaker. She discussed the importance of understanding legal frameworks and protection measures related to issues focusing on violence against women and children, highlighting the Republic Act No. 9262, known as the “Anti-Violence Against Women and Their Children Act of 2004,”

The training helped participants to engage in the discussion, share their thoughts and experiences, and learn practical procedures to promote gender equality and contribute positively towards development. The institution aims to create an inclusive and respectful environment where every individual is valued and safe.

Aurora National Science High School SSLG and DFSSLG President, Yvanah Ziah Raynera, together with other delegates from SDO Aurora recently participated in the Learners’ Convergence Philippines 2024 in Lapu-Lapu City, Cebu last July 8-13.

The LearnCon 2024 allowed her and all other student-leaders across the 17 regions of the country to gather, learn, enhance their skills, and acquire tools of knowledge that they need to make a positive impact, not only in their schools and divisions but also for the betterment of the youth in the whole Philippines.

We are glad to have you back, Yvanah! We can't wait to hear your inspiring stories and see the ideas you will bring to our institution and all the learners in our division!

This July marks the 50th National Nutrition Month of the Phillippines, a time to promote healthy eating habits and raise awareness about the importance of good nutrition for every Filipino.

As the Philippine Plan of Action for Nutrition (PPAN) for 2023-2028 is being implemented in our country, all sectors unite behind this plan to reduce malnutrition in our nation.

As Filipinos, we should support making the PPAN a success. Let us encourage using locally grown food, make healthy eating choices, and spread awareness of proper nutrition. Together, we can build a healthier society where no one is left behind. ❤️

The ANSHS SSLG recognizes July as National Disaster Resilience Month in the Philippines. The theme "BIDAng Pilipino: Building a Stronger Filipino Well-being towards Disaster Resilience," emphasizes the importance of the collective efforts of every individual in mitigating the impact of disasters and ensuring Filipinos' safety.

Our country is known to be one of the most disaster-prone countries in the world. We experience typhoons, earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, floods, and landslides. But through our hospitality, cheerfulness, and resilienceᅳwe can stay strong amidst crises.

The ANSHS SSLG recognizes the celebration of the 22nd Philippine-Spanish Friendship Day and 125th Anniversary of the Historic Siege of Baler as this day marks a historic event not only in our municipality but also in our nation's history! 🇵🇭🇪🇸✨

Buong pagmamalaki naming ipinakikilala ang ating mga kinatawan na magdadala ng tagumpay at pag-asa sa darating na Learners' Convergence Philippines 2024 mula Hulyo 8 hanggang Hulyo 13, taong kasalukuyan sa Lapu-Lapu City, Cebu.

The current situation in the West Philippine Sea (WPS) shows conflict between the Philippines and China. Though our country has sovereign rights over the WPS based on international law and a 2016 ruling by the Permanent Court of Arbitration, the Chinese government continues to claim our territory.

Recently, there have been reports that display the violent behavior of the Chinese Coast Guard (CCG), affecting the lives of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG), and the Filipino fisherfolks who are trying to earn their livelihood.

The CCG personnel reportedly used tear gas, knives, and rocks against Philippine armies, they also tugged at the Philippine Navy’s rigid hull inflatable boats (RHIBs). Our fellow brave Filipinos risked their lives in China’s aggression.

Said incidents resulted in a Philippine Navy sailor losing a thumb, with several other naval personnel reported to have sustained minor injuries. The CCG also seized the fi****ms of the Philippine military members.

In times like this, it is best not to turn a blind eye to what is happening in our beloved country. Let us use our platforms to raise awareness for our social issues. Let us not put the sacrifices of our brave heroes to waste—we should continue to fight for our rights, for what is ours.
