AYLA SAYS NAWAYA KA!!✨🫵🏼
"Nawaya Ka" is the ilocano translation of "You are free." With this, we are thrilled to officially launch this initiative, powered by the Youth for YOUth Organization, supported by and through the EpiC Project's Free To Be YOUTH HUB, with support from the U.S. President's Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR) and the US Agency for International Development (USAID). This project, with the integration of a pleasure-based, demand-driven, and informed-choice approach to providing HIV and SRH services, and Peer-Education among the Adolescent and Young Key Population (AYKPs) in the Municipality of Bangued in the Province of Abra, aims to empower the Banguedeño Young Key Population by creating a platform wherein they can access HIV and SRH services without the anxiety of being prejudiced, as well as equipping them with the necessary knowledge to identify what they need.
Wanna be a part of our initiative? Stay tuned, Kakailyans, for updates and together, with every voice ready to advocate, we shall shout "Nawaya Ka"!💗
INDEPENDENCE DAY 2024🇵🇭
Today, the Youth for YOUth joins the nation in commemorating its independence. For many filipinos, be it women, adolescents, children, persons with disabilities, people with indigineous roots, etc., independence means a lot. Years ago, the thirst of filipinos to be liberated originated when the nation was shackled, and from that time on, we have seen time and time again, that with the right amount of courage, we are able to rise above unwanted circumstances.
This Independence Day is not just a commemoration of our past, but may it be so that it is a celebration for every Filipino out there who wants to be bigger than their situations. So today, we commemorate our past, celebrate our present, and hope expectantly for the future!✨
Agbiag! Padayon, Kaps! Happy Independence Day!🥳🇵🇭✨🫶

Today we celebrate the Day of Valor 🇵🇭
The Day of Valor commemorates the sacrifices made by our Filipino veterans during World War II. Our country has endured a long struggle for national independence, and these veterans fought not only for their own lives but also for the Filipino community. Without them, we wouldn't enjoy the freedom we have today.
We, the youth, are grateful for their sacrifices and commit to continue working towards our nation-building.
Observing and paying tribute to the Filipino veterans are ways to express gratitude for their bravery and endurance through every hardship. We salute you!
Did you know? According to the Philippines National Demographic and Health Survey, 2017, 2 out of 5 women who experienced physical or sexual violence never sought help or confided in anyone about it. This statistic highlights the pressing need for awareness and support.
April marks S*xual Assault Awareness Month, a time to amplify our efforts in combating such distressing realities. PYDN, through Kaibigan chat line, will continue to strengthen partnerships with its stakeholders to provide a safe space and essential support for those affected.
In times of distress, it's vital to know where to turn for help. Below, we've listed hotlines dedicated to assisting children and youth who may be in need:

The training was geared towards empowering the participants by fostering leadership skills, envisioning a positive transformation in their lives. Along with this, the training delved into topics such as Puberty, S*x, Pleasure, Risks, and Consent– aimed to provide comprehensive information and promote responsible behavior in regards to the aforementioned. Moreover, the training was inclusive of an HIV Testing Booth and a session on HIV and AIDS– making sure that the participants are well-equipped and informed given the susceptibility of young key populations to these health risks. The training was implemeted with an engaging and dynamic approach– incorporating interactive activities, games, and workshops. Ultimately, beyond knowledge dissemination, the training sought to contribute to the successful reintegration of these young individuals into society by fostering leadership qualities and promoting positive social integration, envisioning a comprehensive and lasting impact on their johrney to reintegration.
