Apo Mayor/Apo Vocal/Sir Doming, it is now your last night before your interment tomorrow, August 20, 2022, which is also the commemoration of the 1st month of your sudden demise.

I was able to have personal encounters with you, especially the times when you were still serving in the provincial government and when Mom & Dad were still alive and holding public office. You were very friendly and approachable. Nu inkami agpasyar nga pamilya idi diay Robinsons ket maranrana daka latta nukwa. Nakais-isem ka latta nukwa. Aw-awagan nak nukwa ti "barok" or "adingko".

When Dad died in 2014, he was an incumbent City Councilor of Batac that time and you were the PCL-IN President. Madi mi pulos malipatan dagiti intultulong mo idi iti pamilya mi kadayta nga panawen. And when Mom was appointed to serve the unexpired term of Dad in the Batac City Council, you came to witness her oath taking in then-Governor Imee's office at the Provincial Capitol and congratulated her and our family in person.

After Mom's retirement from politics, it was now my turn to hold the political torch of our family. Manipud idi simbrek ak ti pulitika a kas Kagawad ti barangay mi a Lacub, haanen nga "barok" wenno "adingko" ti pangaw-awag mo kanyak idin, nu di ket "adingko barok konsehal".

I even remember one time when I was in college, I was in Solsona because our academic organization was invited by the town's tourism office to assist them in their event. You were the guest speaker that time, ket idi nakita nakon ket inyangaw mo kanyak idi, "Ney, taga Batac ka met ti ammuk ngem adda ka met ditoy Solsona'n. Nagadayu metten" 😅

Sir Doming, we will always be thankful for the things that you have done and contributed for our beloved province, most especially for your beloved San Nicolas, and for being very nice to me and our family. We will always remember you, not only as a sincere and true-hearted public servant, but for being who you are.

Every six (6) years, we witness the historic transfer of power and authority from the outgoing administration to the incoming one. At around 12NN today, our very own kailian and kabarangayan will officially take his oath of office to become the next President of the Republic of the Philippines.

What makes this even prouder for us, he is going to be the second BATACQUEÑO and LACUBEÑO to serve as the leader of our country, after his namesake and father.
