Philippine Dermatological Society Skin Week 2023

Our board-certified dermatologist (joined by other esteemed dermatologists) participated in a medical mission for the Aeta community at San Luis, Batangas last Nov. 10, 2023. This is in line with Philippine Dermatological Society's mission and vision to provide access to dermatological care for all.

The 46th Philippine Dermatological Society annual convention was held at the EDSA Shangri-la hotel from Nov. 5 to 7, 2023 with the theme, "Future Forward: Fundamentals to advances". Dermatologists from all over the Philippines gathered to attend lectures, join focus group discussions, and explore cutting-edge advancements to improve patient care.

Our doctors attended "Reverse Aging with Bioskincell Stimulation", with Dr. Gabriel Velasquez as speaker. This was held at the Summer Palace, Edsa Shangri-la hotel on Oct 9, 2023.

Our dermatologist, Dr. Katrina Salvosa, DPDS, attended the Life Enhancement Action Program of the Philippine Dermatological Society, held at Lima Park Hotel in Malvar Batangas last Aug. 18, 2023. This was attended by board-certified dermatologists from South Luzon (Alabang to Bicol).

You can also check the DPDS/ FPDS letters after their name to know that they are board-certified by the Philippine Dermatological Society, the only medical society for dermatology recognized by the Philippine College of Physicians (P*P) and the Philippine Medical Association (PMA). This means that your PDS dermatologist is a TRUE EXPERT on matters of the skin, hair, and nails.

HOW DOES ONE BECOME A DERMATOLOGIST IN THE PHILIPPINES?
A dermatologist is a medical doctor who must train for three years at a hospital or institution approved by the PDS. These institutions are as follows:

To know if your doctor is a genuine dermatologist, look for the PDS sign or the PDS Seal of Excellence.
