On June 22, 2024, 𝗬𝗗𝗢 𝗡𝗲𝗹 𝗠𝗮𝗴𝗯𝗮𝗻𝘂𝗮 was invited as a 𝗴𝘂𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗮𝗸𝗲𝗿 in the Biggest Youth Gathering in the Philippines, the Global Youth Summit 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟰. The GYS is a 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗿𝗲𝗵𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝟭𝟳-𝗹𝗲𝗴 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗳𝗼𝗰𝘂𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝟭𝟳 𝗦𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗗𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗽𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗚𝗼𝗮𝗹𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀. The summit was organized by 𝗚𝗹𝗼𝗯𝗮𝗹 𝗣𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗲 𝗙𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗣𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗽𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀 in partnership with 𝗦𝗠 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗲𝘀 and 𝗦𝗠 𝗖𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗦𝘁𝗼. 𝗧𝗼𝗺𝗮𝘀, with support from 𝗦𝘁𝗼. 𝗧𝗼𝗺𝗮𝘀 𝗖𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗟𝗚𝗨. The central theme of his address revolved around 𝗦𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗗𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗽𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗚𝗼𝗮𝗹 (𝗦𝗗𝗚) 𝟭𝟬: 𝗥𝗘𝗗𝗨𝗖𝗘𝗗 𝗜𝗡𝗘𝗤𝗨𝗔𝗟𝗜𝗧𝗜𝗘𝗦.

In his concluding statements, he underscored the 𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗮 𝗰𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗻𝘂𝗼𝘂𝘀 𝗲𝗳𝗳𝗼𝗿𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗮𝗰𝗸𝗹𝗲 𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗾𝘂𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆, highlighting the 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗽𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵 𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗶𝘃𝗶𝗱𝘂𝗮𝗹 𝗶𝘀 𝘃𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗶𝗻 𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗻 𝗲𝗾𝘂𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗷𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗹𝗱 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆𝗼𝗻𝗲.

The summit featured inspiring testimonials from young individuals who had successfully implemented projects aimed at 𝗳𝗼𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗹𝘂𝘀𝗶𝘃𝗶𝘁𝘆 and 𝗳𝗮𝗶𝗿𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗶𝗿 𝗹𝗼𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘀.

Delegates reaped a 𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗲𝘄𝗲𝗱 𝗱𝗲𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, 𝗲𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗽𝗽𝗲𝗱 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗻𝗲𝘄 𝗳𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗱𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽𝘀, 𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗮𝘀, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗮 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗼𝗻 𝘃𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 for a more 𝗷𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗲𝗾𝘂𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗳𝘂𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲. The Global Youth Summit 2024 had not only 𝗶𝗴𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗮 𝘀𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗸 𝗼𝗳 𝗵𝗼𝗽𝗲 but had also 𝗹𝗮𝗶𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 for a 𝗻𝗲𝘁𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸 𝗼𝗳 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗴 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗲𝗺𝗮𝗸𝗲𝗿𝘀 ready to take on the 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗴𝗲𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗾𝘂𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗱-𝗼𝗻.

Mission

This program is a proactive initiative aimed at addressing the pressing issue of dangerous drug abuse among young people. Through collaboration with relevant government agencies and local government units to implement the Buhay Ingatan, Droga'y Ayawan (BIDA) Program in participation with City Anti Drug Abuse Council (CADAC) and Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA), the initiative ensures a comprehensive approach to combating drug abuse.

This provides a platform for open dialogue where attendees can share their perspectives, and insights. By fostering a non-judgmental and supportive environment, we aim to reduce stigma surrounding drug use and encourage empathy and understanding. Through collaborative learning and exchange, we seek to empower individuals with the knowledge and tools necessary to make informed decisions and advocate for positive change in their communities.

𝐂𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐡 𝐃𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐩𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐂𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐥 | 𝐐𝐮𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐥𝐲 𝐌𝐞𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠

The 𝗖𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵 𝗗𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗽𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗹 recently held its 𝗤𝘂𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗹𝘆 𝗠𝗲𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 on 𝗠𝗮𝘆 𝟭𝟴, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟰, led by 𝗬𝗗𝗢 𝗡𝗲𝗹 𝗠𝗮𝗴𝗯𝗮𝗻𝘂𝗮. A total of 𝟏𝟗 𝐨𝐫𝐠𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐳𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 actively participated in the event. 𝗛𝗼𝗻. 𝗦𝗵𝗲𝗿𝘄𝗶𝗻 𝗧𝗲𝗷𝗮𝗱𝗮 took charge of presiding over the meeting under the guidance of YDO Nel Magbanua.

The list of organizations that attended the meeting was impressive and included YACAP-U, Emergency Service Corps- Batangas City, A-BLADES, BSP-Batangas City, GSP - Batangas City, Association of Daligueños Youth, SEC - CLB, SAKTO - Batangas City, CLIMB, Youth for Peace - Batangas City, 4H Club, TLYLC, BCJEC, JMA-CLB, UVBC, CVO, BYDC, Youth on Mission - Philippines, and SK Federation Batangas City.

During the meeting, the 𝗱𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗳𝘂𝗻𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗟𝗬𝗗𝗖 were outlined. These included serving as the 𝙘𝙤𝙧𝙚 𝙤𝙛 𝙖𝙙𝙫𝙤𝙘𝙖𝙘𝙮, 𝙛𝙞𝙣𝙖𝙡𝙞𝙯𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙩𝙝𝙚 3-𝙮𝙚𝙖𝙧 𝙇𝙔𝘿𝙋, and 𝙢𝙤𝙣𝙞𝙩𝙤𝙧𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙚𝙫𝙖𝙡𝙪𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙇𝙔𝘿𝙋 𝙥𝙧𝙤𝙜𝙧𝙚𝙨𝙨.

Exciting activities were planned for the upcoming period, such as the Sabayang Pagbigkas Contest in collaboration with DEPED, workshops, Youth Camp, partnership initiatives with Youth For Peace, Computer Literacy programs in partnership with TESDA, and outreach programs for street youth.

The 𝐟𝐨𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐩𝐨𝐢𝐧𝐭 for 𝐂𝐘𝐃𝐂 is the 𝟏𝟎 𝐂𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐡 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐩𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧, which encompasses 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵, 𝗘𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, 𝗘𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗼𝗺𝗶𝗰 𝗘𝗺𝗽𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁, 𝗦𝗼𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗜𝗻𝗰𝗹𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗘𝗾𝘂𝗶𝘁𝘆, 𝗣𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗲 𝗕𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 & 𝗦𝗲𝗰𝘂𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘆, 𝗚𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲, 𝗔𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗖𝗶𝘁𝗶𝘇𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽, 𝗘𝗻𝘃𝗶𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁, 𝗚𝗹𝗼𝗯𝗮𝗹 𝗠𝗼𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆, and 𝗔𝗴𝗿𝗶𝗰𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲. With such a diverse and dedicated group of organizations and individuals involved, the future looks bright for the City Youth Development Council.

Our ongoing program about SK “Empowering Youth Against Drug Abuse” with our Resource Speaker from PDEA, Ms. Rachelle A. Mission.

Through a series of engaging discussions, examining how various substances affect the brain and body. Participants have the opportunity to learn about harm reduction strategies aimed at minimizing the negative consequences associated with drug use, as well as the complexities of implementing effective policies to address this issue.

Moreover, our program provides a platform for open dialogue where attendees can share their perspectives, and insights. By fostering a non-judgmental and supportive environment, we aim to reduce stigma surrounding drug use and encourage empathy and understanding. Through collaborative learning and exchange, we seek to empower individuals with the knowledge and tools necessary to make informed decisions and advocate for positive change in their communities.

The BIDA Step Up Program, initiated by the Local Youth Development Office (LYDO) and in coordination with the Sangguniang Kabataan Federation of Batangas City, is a proactive initiative aimed at addressing the pressing issue of dangerous drug abuse among young people. Through collaboration with relevant government agencies and local government units to implement the Buhay Ingatan, Droga'y Ayawan (BIDA) Program, the initiative ensures a comprehensive approach to combating drug abuse.

Comprising a dangerous drug awareness symposium, this program focuses on equipping youth with essential knowledge and skills to navigate the complexities of substance abuse on this May 19, 2024 at Colegio ng Lungsod ng Batangas (AVR - 1st Floor) from 7:00 am to 5:30 pm.

This holistic strategy not only addresses immediate concerns but also works towards building resilient communities where young people can thrive and contribute positively to society.

SAKTO—Batangas City Federation officers and members represented the Batangueño Youths in the 3-day Batangas Youth Camp 2024 with a theme: Youth Empowerment: Helping and Inspiring Millenials. Batangas City SAKTO Officers, together with youth leaders participated at the 3-day Batangas Youth Camp 2024 with the theme, "Youth Empowerment—Helping and Inspiring Millenials" at South Peak Garden and Events Place.

SAKTO Officers Jesa Mary Nouelle Ramos and Rafaela Shannon L. Santo Tomas are present at the youth camp, alongside with youth leaders Bryan Ray J. Tuaño and Earl Vincent M. Evangelista.

Sa pangunguna ng Provincial Assistance for Community, Public Employment and Youth and Sports Development Office (PACPEYSDO), isinigawa ngayong araw ika-10 ng Mayo 2024, ang '' Batangas Youth Camp 2024'' sa South Peak Garden and Events Place sa Batangas City.

Ito ay dinaluhan ng iba’t ibang mga Youth Organizations sa Lalawigan ng Batangas. Layunin ng programa na palakasin ang Youth Empowerment, at mass makapagbigay ng inspirasyon sa mga bagong kabataang Batangueño.
