The Emergency Service Training Course, organized annually by the Emergency Services Corp - Batangas City Council, equips individuals with knowledge and abilities, transforming them into exceptional heroes who can face the unexpected and make a meaningful impact when every moment matters.⚜️

Through the collaborative efforts of the ESC - Batangas City Council, another successful training for the new batch of scouts has been accomplished. We express our deep gratitude to all those involved in this achievement.🏕️🔥

This accomplishment is made possible through the support of the Boy Scouts of the Philippines - Batangas City Council, along with Bureau of Fire Protection Batangas City, as well as other organizations and agencies such as the Philippine Red Cross - Batangas Chapter, Batangas City Pulis, Batangas Cdrrmo, Batangas City Mayor's Action Center, Batangas City Sports Center - Coliseum, Barangay Tabangao Ambulong, Batangas City Youth Development Council, and TDRO.

In times of fire accidents, this is the key basic knowledge that if practiced, can save your life.

STOP, do not run, if your clothes catch on fire.
DROP to the floor in a prone position. Cover your face with your hands to protect it from the flames.
ROLL over and over to smother the fire. Don't stop until the flames have been extinguished.

TYPES OF FIRE EXTINGUISHER 🔥🧯

A - ordinary materials
B - combustible and flammable liquids
C - electrical equipment
D - flammable metal
K - for use with vegetable oils, animal oil and fats in cooking appliances

⚠️ Knowing how to use a fire extinguisher is an essential knowledge for survival however, as mentioned in our previous post there are different types of fire extinguisher designed to put out specific kinds of fire. Usage of wrong fire extinguisher might worsten the accident.

A Fire extinguisher is a handheld active fire protection device usually filled with a dry or wet chemical used to extinguish or control small fires. It has variety of types depending on the type of source of fire they take care of, and regardless of that they are all used through PASS:

P - pull the pin
A -aim at the fuel or source of fire
S - squeeze the lever
S - sweep

As the beginning of March, Fire Prevention Month, hits the Boy Scouts of the Philippines - Batangas City Council Emergency Service Corps conducts their Monthly Meeting last March 11 in the present year to craft and deliberate activities in participation to decreasing the fire accidents in the city.Tune in for more updates!

In the 17th day of December 2022, the Emergency Service Training Course Batch 2022-008 composing of 17 scouts from various institutions from Batangas City has successfully graduated. Along with this is the Formal Oath Taking of the appointed sets of officers.

In lieu of this, this activity would not be possible without the aid of the following people. We would like to recognize the contribution, shared skills, knowledge, and lent facilities of Bfp Batscity BFP Batangas City Fire Station headed by SINSP Benjie L C**a, Philippine Red Cross-Batangas Chapter headed by Mr. Ronald G. Generoso. Our gratitude also to Mayor Beverley Dimacuha together with the other agencies such as City Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office, and Transportation Development Regulatory Office, Panlungsod na Pederasyon ng Sangguniang Kabataan - Batangas City led by SK President Marjorie Manalo, City Youth Development Council, the Boy Scouts of the Philippines Batangas City Council under the leadership of Sir Guilbert Beredo Alea and support from Council Scout Commissioner and the School’s Division Superintendent Dr. Felizardo O. Bolaños, the Outfit Advisors and Leaders, Parents of the graduates, the graduate. Additionally is to the organizers of the event, ESC Officers and Staff in lead of Eagle Scout Rayner King C. Pagcaliwagan, Corps Commander and Sctr. Rithcel Atienza,CML the Corps Advisor. Lastly, we would like to recognize the support and hospitality of Tinga Sorosoro Integrated School. To ma’am Liliosa H. Barte the school principal, Sctr. Mark Jazper Soriano and Sctr. Marco B. Buela. With the retirement of Boy Scouts of the Philippines Secretary General Rogelio S. Villa Jr., the National Executive Board of the BSP has appointed Mr. Diosdado M. San Antonio as Officer-in-Charge of the Office of the Secretary General until such time that a Secretary General shall have been appointed.

OIC Diosdado is concurrently a Regular Member of the National Executive Board, where he also serves as Chairman of Operations Committee. He is active in Scouting and has attended several Scouting activities.

ESC SCOUTS ON DUTY!

Around 1000+ runners and health enthusiasts joined the Fun Run 2022 for the Batangas City Foundation Day in partnership with Milo Philippines held at Tingga-Pinamucan Bypass Road on July 22, 2022.

For the third time around, the Emergency Service Corps-Batangas City Council had once again supported the the City Council for Youth Affairs (CCYA) as the emergency scouts served as marshals for this event.
