Life Insurance is a risk management tool. Nililipat ang financial risk ng isang indibidwal/pamilya sa isang insurance company.

Halimbawa, nagbayad ng 15k ang insured at nagkaroon ng untimely death, magkakaroon ang beneficiary/ies (e.g. pamilya) ng 2 million.

"15k lang binayad pero 2 million ang nakuha?"
Yes, dahil may pondo ang isang insurance company para dito na galing din sa mga taong naghuhulog at sa investment.

Another example, 4.5k/year ang hulog. Nagkaroon ng malubhang sakit, nakakuha ng 500k pampagamot.

That's risk management. Hindi galing sa savings ang pera.

Noong year 2021 (wala pa final # sa 2022), 6.5 BILLION ang nilabas ni Sun Life para sa claims and maturities ng plans. Ganun kalaki ang promise na naibigay ni Sun Life.

How I spent my last 13th month as corporate employee.

I remember the last 10+years of working as employee receiving 13th month pay. Hindi pa dumadating yung 13th month or bonus, nagastos ko na sya sa utak ko. 80% non sa gadgets napunta, 20% sa foodtrip tsaka pambigay sa inaanak.

Every year ganyan lang palagi gastos ko, walang ipon at lalong walang investment.

Until my last year as corporate employee…

When I joined Sun Life, natutunan ko yung mga bagay na hindi tinuro sa iskwelahan (o baka absent lang ako non? 🤣). Nag ipon for Emergency Fund, nag umpisa ng Life Insurance at eto na nga, nakapag invest na din (VUL, Stocks, MP2), pero nagagawa parin yung gustong gawin.

Dun ko din na realized na kung 10 years ago alam ko na to, malamang may malaking ipon na ako.

Pero lesson learned, +/- 30 years pa para paghandaan ang masayang retirement. It’s a matter of consistency and commitment towards financial goals.

So ano gusto kong sabihin sa post na to? wala, haha. Shinare ko lang yung nangyari sakin before. Tsaka wala na ko 13th month pay, namiss ko lang 😂

Seriously, it’s a matter of understanding and managing your money, hindi naman dahil nag iinvest ka, nagbabayad ka ng life insurance, mababawasan na yung kaligayahan mo tulad ng travel, gadgets and food!

Once again, Sun Life extended its purposeful mission. Part of my production this month of October will be donated to 𝙆𝙮𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙁𝙤𝙪𝙣𝙙𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 (a non-profit, non-stock organization who helps hospitalized children with cancer and other chronic illnesses), 𝙉𝙚𝙜𝙧𝙚𝙣𝙨𝙚 𝙑𝙤𝙡𝙪𝙣𝙩𝙚𝙚𝙧𝙨 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝘾𝙝𝙖𝙣𝙜𝙚 𝙁𝙤𝙪𝙣𝙙𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 and 𝙒𝙤𝙧𝙡𝙙 𝙎𝙪𝙧𝙜𝙞𝙘𝙖𝙡 𝙁𝙤𝙪𝙣𝙙𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣.

The more clients I insured this month, the more people in need will be given further help.
