MY WAYWARD THOUGHT – What would happen if Mayor Sara Duterte would not run for president? At this early, 3 candidates for president are interchangeably leading in the survey – Marcos, Robredo and Moreno. Notwithstanding the absence of Sara Duterte in the list of the survey, her name still appear consistently at the top list.

Most of the Sara supporters are exclusive for Sara as president, meaning they will only vote Sara for president and will not vote for other candidate, except Sara and worst will no longer cast their votes, if indeed Sara will not run.

Randomly estimating the number of Sara supporters which may translate into vote should he decide to run is 16,601,997, which numbers are votes for her father President Rodrigo Roa Duterte in 2016 election. With the huge number of well-organized and structured group supporting Mayor Sara, the possibility of doubling her father’s supporter-voter is real. Granting the supporter of PRRD decreases to 12,000,000, because of the unabated media criticism, and Mayor Sara has for herself 20,000,000, supporters which may translate into vote, and therefore, with the combined number of supporters would make a total of 32,000,000 would be voters.

Mayor Sara supporter have openly manifest their support for her presidency and accept for themselves that she would be their next president, and nothing more. Thus, if Mayor Sara would not participate in the election, her supporters who have committed themselves for her to become their president would possibly opt to boycott the election as a sign of protest.

Come 2022 election. In the absence of Sara supporter which comprises the majority of the electorate, there would never be a winner by majority whoever would garner the biggest number of votes. As such, there would be a failure of election.

As a consequence, barrage of protest would ensue. All contending parties and candidates would raise their respective protest. Followers against followers; guns and goons would intervene; concocting of false accusations, political joust will be hurled on the air; courts will be crowded with political charges. There would be bloody confrontation. Chaos and anarchy will preside over the republic. Nationwide disarray would be aggravated by an issue of widespread cheating, allegedly through Picos and Smartmatic. What would be the possible outcome of such massive lawlessness? Thus what is next to preserve peace and order?

To avert the possible grim scenario, the only remaining option – Run Sara Run!
