"Life is all about finding something to be passionate about," says Engr. Orlando Ritchie R. Natonton, the current coordinator for the Industrial Engineering Program (IEP) of Father Saturnino Urios University, Engineering and Technology Program (ETP).
As a highly respected tenured staff of the FSUU, he takes pride in having graduated with an Industrial Engineering degree in the same university.
However, his pursuit of education did not stop there. He pursued and completed a master's degree in Xavier University (XU) in 2010 and education units in Caraga State University (CSU) to get a feel of how learning is done in a public institution.
But for Engr. Natonton, what makes him highly respected is not just his numerous accolades, but his passion for the pursuit of knowledge both within and outside of the academe.
He always finds way to continuously adapt and learn, but he also always finds way to push his students to enjoy, learn, and love the discipline they're pursuing. "When you learn to love something, it won't feel like a burden," he adds. To place an emphasis on his versatility, aside from being a member of the Engineering faculty, he's also the most active advocate for Cybersecurity in the university.
Spearheading the "Capture the Flag" rise in Caraga region, he's been able to participate as the Team Coach in several competitions such as the Hack4Gov nationals in Manila, last year.
Engr. Natonton also highlights the upholding of the URIAN core values as a great roadmap for the students of the university.
He says that to be an Urian is to be smart enough to pursue innovation, to constantly learn, and to always follow the path of God. To end his interview, he reminds everyone that a great community for the future is not built in a day, but built day-by-day.
Engr. Orlando Ritchie Natonton isn't just an inspiration, but a consistent reminder of what all Urians should strive forโthe embodiment of the life-long commitment to learning.

It is with joyful hearts to declare that the outreach program yesterday was a success! ๐งก
It was a success because we were able to successfully give joy to the learners of Mahay Elementary School, inspire them to pursue academic excellence, teach them how to use different civil and industrial engineering equipment, demonstrate to them the various engineering projects of the FSUU ETP engineering students, and impart to them the Urian core values. ๐
The highlights of our outreach program are the giving of school supplies to the 150 learners of Mahay Elementary School, of preloved clothes to the school teachers which are to be distributed to the learners of the school, conducting different fun games to the learners which were actively participated by the ETP-SSG and ETP campus organizations (PICE, PIIE,and GEMS) officers, and the demonstrations of civil engineering and industrial engineering equipment by the 4th year civil and industrial engineering students to the learners of the school.
We would like to express our sincerest gratitude to our program dean, Engr. Nikko James Jadumas, our ETP-SSG adviser, Engr. Julie Delizo Jr., our CES program coordinator, Engr. Jacquilyn Nones, and our ETP faculty for their firm and unwavering support to the engineering students and to ETP-SSG officers.
We also would like to thank the ETP-SSG officers and committee members who worked relentlessly for the success of the outreach program, the General Engineering Mathematics Society officers for the preloved clothes donation, the Philippine Institute of Industrial Engineers - FSUU SC for the active participation and demonstration of different industrial engineering equipment and projects to the learners, the Philippine Institute of Civil Engineers- FSUU SC for the active participation and demonstration of different civil engineering equipment and projects to the learners, and the 4th year CE and IE students for helping the officers during the games and demonstrations.
We want to express, as well, our profound appreciations to the school principal and teachers of Mahay Elementary School for welcoming us and guiding us throughout our outreach program and to the FSUU CES for the support given to our outreach program.
Last but certainly not the least, to our project coordinator, a Barangay Kagawad of Barangay Mahay, Engr. Julie Delizo Jr., thank you sir for your all-out support to the ETP-SSG officers and to our outreach program.

ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY PROGRAM
ETP - SUPREME STUDENT GOVERNMENT
OUTREACH PROGRAM
"Educational Program: Enabling Students To Pursue Academic Excellence"
The Engineering and Technology Program, together with the ETP Supreme Student Government and ETP campus organizations officers, will be giving donations and school supplies to 150 learners of Mahay Elementary School. The program will exhibit various civil engineering and industrial engineering equipment and projects of the ETP engineering students with an aim to inspire them to pursue engineering courses in the future.
Moreover, all 4th-year civil engineering and industrial engineering students will participate in the outreach program. They will demonstrate to the 150 learners how to operate the different engineering equipment.
Furthermore, the three campus organizations (FSUU - Philippine Institute of Civil Engineers - SC, FSUU - Philippine Institute of Industrial Engineers - SC, and General Engineering Mathematics Society) under the Engineering and Technology Program will show to the learners the various projects of the ETP engineering students. Their participation will further reinforce our goal to inspire the learners of Mahay Elementary School to pursue engineering courses in the future.
We would like to thank our program dean, Engr. Nikko James Jadumas, our ETP-SSG adviser, Engr. Julie Delizo Jr., our program CES coordinator, Engr. Jacquilyn Nones, and all ETP faculty for their all out support to this endeavor.
Moreover, we would like to express our gratitude to the school principal of Mahay Elementary School, ma'am Rosabelle S. Cubillas, for the warm welcome of our outreach program and for its smooth coordination.
We are also grateful for the contributions made by our ETP - SSG officers, ETP - SSG logistics committee, ETP - SSG productions committee, engineering students, and ETP campus organizations.
