Nine (9) faculty-affiliated faculty researchers from the Caraga Center for Geo-informatics(CCGeo) recently presented 20 technical papers at the 10th International Exchange and Innovation Conference on Engineering & Sciences (IEICES 2024), held on October 17-18, 2024, at Kyushu University, Fukuoka City, Japan. This international conference, organized by the Interdisciplinary Graduate School of Engineering Sciences (IGSES) and the Intellectual Exchange and Innovation Program (IEI Program) of Kyushu University, brought together experts to explore advances in fields such as geospatial science, environmental engineering, remote sensing, and earth system technologies.

The sight of our future Geodetic Engineers standing strong, facing this crucial moment with determination and resilience, was nothing short of inspiring.

Jhon Rudmark Ebol, gathered to discuss their plans, with the upcoming general assembly and future endeavors for the entire academic year being key topics of discussion. ⁤

Under the leadership of President Jhune Adam Payot and Adviser Engr. John Rudmark Ebol, 𝙔𝙂𝙀𝙎𝙎 renewed its commitment to excellence for the academic year 2024-2025. This milestone not only reinforces the organization's ongoing impact but also advances its mission to cultivate the next generation of visionary engineers.

The ceremony, which brought together student-leaders and advisers across CSU, emphasized the role of organizations like 𝚈𝙶𝙴𝚂𝚂 in promoting dynamic leadership and academic growth. With reaccreditation in hand, 𝚈𝙶𝙴𝚂𝚂 is well-positioned to explore new opportunities, foster greater collaboration, and spearhead programs that will elevate both the university and the geodetic engineering community.

To uphold its devotion to quality, 𝘾𝙎𝙐 𝘿𝙚𝙥𝙖𝙧𝙩𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙩 𝙤𝙛 𝙂𝙚𝙤𝙙𝙚𝙩𝙞𝙘 𝙀𝙣𝙜𝙞𝙣𝙚𝙚𝙧𝙞𝙣𝙜, in coordination with 𝘾𝙎𝙐 𝙔𝙤𝙪𝙣𝙜 𝙂𝙚𝙤𝙙𝙚𝙩𝙞𝙘 𝙀𝙣𝙜𝙞𝙣𝙚𝙚𝙧𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙎𝙩𝙪𝙙𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙨 𝙎𝙤𝙘𝙞𝙚𝙩𝙮 and 𝘾𝙎𝙐 𝙔𝙤𝙪𝙩𝙝𝙈𝙖𝙥𝙥𝙚𝙧𝙨, conducted a 𝗙𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗼𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗦𝗲𝗻𝗱-𝗢𝗳𝗳 𝗔𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗚𝗘𝗟𝗘 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟰 𝗧𝗮𝗸𝗲𝗿𝘀 on 𝘖𝘤𝘵𝘰𝘣𝘦𝘳 9, 2024, 𝘧𝘳𝘰𝘮 1:00 𝘗𝘔 𝘵𝘰 5:00 𝘗𝘔 at the 𝘊𝘚𝘜 𝘕𝘦𝘸 𝘈𝘥𝘮𝘪𝘯𝘪𝘴𝘵𝘳𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘊𝘰𝘯𝘧𝘦𝘳𝘦𝘯𝘤𝘦 𝘏𝘢𝘭𝘭.

The program commenced with a warm message by Engr. Anamarie P. Sajonia, Dean of the College of Engineering and Geosciences. Distinguished faculty members from the Department of Geodetic Engineering delivered motivational talks to encourage the GELE takers to maintain their focus and determination. Even while on study leave, Engr. Lorie Cris S. Asube generously took the time to wish good luck and inspire the students, along with Dr. Michelle V. Japitana, Vice President for Executive Operations. Furthermore, everyone was moved by a heart-wrenching video presentation by YGESS in the event, showing the final scenes of the takers' in-house review at CSU as they relentlessly work.

The activity was capped off by a heartfelt prayer led by Engr. Maria Belinda Campana who gave hope and blessings to the GELE 2024 takers as board examinations draw near.

So, before 𝐀𝐛𝐫𝐚𝐡𝐚𝐦 "𝘼𝙗𝙚" 𝐋𝐢𝐧𝐜𝐨𝐥𝐧 was out here abolishing slavery and uniting a fractured nation, he was literally laying down the landᅳlike, for real! Back in 1833, 𝙇𝙞𝙣𝙘𝙤𝙡𝙣 was a 𝘧𝘶𝘭𝘭-𝘰𝘯 𝘴𝘶𝘳𝘷𝘦𝘺𝘰𝘳, marking boundaries and mapping the future of Illinois one step at a time. That attention to detail? That perseverance? Guess where he got it...from working the field (literally)!

This actually makes you think: could it be that mastering the land surveys would be akin to mastering the art of building nations?
